Dueling shields went from my least anticipated weapon type to possibly my new favorite. The fact that its like a shield poking build I can two-hand opens up a lot of talisman options, and the guard points in the light combo actually mean that if you play correctly you could make reasonabke use outbofnthe twinblade talisman. WAY more versatile a weapon than I was expecting, and definitely more than just one way to play (with shield poking). Charged heavy builds would work well here too!

Agreed man, I didn’t expect to be having as much fun with this weapon as I did! I did mention in another comment but I mainly wanted to show how silly this weapon was with the guard attacks but the weapon opens up so many more possibilities then just what I showed We could be here all day talking about the other options and setups it’s just that good haha Hmm I like the way you think a charged heavy setup would actually be really strong aswell! I might have to give this ago haha

For some reason i dont gave the option to make a bleed dueling shield, any reason for that?

Yes! So you cant actually use a “bleed” AoW on the dueling shield but you can scale any Keen, Heavy, Quality AoW to bleed, frost or poison Hopefully this helps :)

​@@nolongeraperson yo, that's sad enough, but I wouldn't even be able to try this one cuz my old potato pc can't handle Elden Ring. Btw i heard there are some cloud gaming services like Boosteroid that let you play anything even on a cheap laptop. It'd be sick if you could check this one out and mb do a review. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, I bet loads of ur subs would be interested too. Keep up the great work, speaking of which, ty for replying my com, i appreciate

Why dueling and not the carion version out of curiosity

They are both roughly the same the carian one does edge out more on damage and physical defence + magic, While the dueling has better lightning and holy defence I did stuff up alittle by not mentioning the carian thrusting shield, but the video was already getting long enough don’t want to bore you guys to death haha

Haha there freakishly strong, plus guarding and attacking at the same time is really OP I did stuff up by not mentioning the Carian thrusting shield, it is slightly better in terms of damage then the dueling, all you need is 15 intelligence 17strength and 13 dexterity. Still the exact same scaling as the dueling aswell

WAS* they fixed the bug that was causing stamina to be reduced only slightly on hit. It now behaves like a normal shield should. 😂

@@lordtrinen2249 It's still not bad, for sure, I've been a shield build user since Demon's, and this is definitely the best they've been, it's just not super broken like it was.

@@chasefuller8514 Yeah, before you could just block and press attack with no fear of stamina loss as you took far less reduction, now you actually have to back up and get your stamina back after a couple of hits.

In the video we just see him doing guard pokes all the time but when you decide to play with heavy attacks and instant guard it becomes really fun and quite difficult to master

^this The weapon does have a cheese move, but learning the timing of the run attack and also the heavy’s does feel super rewarding! It was just funny showing how silly this weapon can be tho 😂
