To be fair to the other this seems more of a build test to the other players to test damage, because for a trap it would be pretty obvious, that is why some roll on instinct but get back to the markers, because they tought your intent was to get some help to test damage and effectiveness. So its less of the players being baited and more of then knowing they will take damage but thinking it is for damage test cause.

You can boost damage even more with the physick but after all the buffs I do I already one-shot people who are over 2000 vigor, so it's sort of overkill to drink the physick as well.

It might depend on the area. If you invade them closer to a site of grace they might be more likely to play along. I'd say for me it was probably 50/50 success rate as an invader. When I got invaded it was even more successful, like 70/30. Did you get any successes?

I'm not 100% sure if it affects pvp, but it definitely boosts damage vs regular enemies

@@radovend2023it’ll work in pvp, with a reduced damage boost as all damage boosting status do, i’m not sure what the increase is, but for things like FGMS the 20% damage boost is reduced to 10% in pvp, I’d imagine arrows sting, which nets 10% more damage follows the same rule and probably gives you somethin like 7.5-5% more damage. But more damage is more damage. Another piece of overkill if you want to (maybe) increase damage. The tree spear’s ash of war will grant all of your weapons a holy damage boost even when removed from your inventory as long as it’s activated in the same hand as the weapon you intend on using. I don’t know if the holy damage affects works on ashes of war tho, but the AR of your melee will see a sizable boost. I know for a fact that it works on the tree sentinel spell parry.

On what platform do you play? You can always make multiple save files for different builds. I'd say this can work at any level as long as you can operate the one eyed shield. You don't need to have enough strength to one-hand the one eyed shield, but if you have to two hand it you won't be able to use the jellyfish shield buff since you have to have the jellyfish equipped for that buff to count. I buff a lot in this but in lower levels you can get away with buffing less and still one shot them. You can replace the scorpion charm talisman with the increased equip load talisman since the scorpion only gives you 8% bonus damage. I think I replaced it with the trick mirror talisman in my invasions. The most important I would say is the oil pots, flame grant me strength and the ritual sword talisman buff for lower levels.
