The trick for dealing with lagging players is to keep hitting their model. While they're lagging, they won't be visibly taking damage, but once their lag ends, they'll take damage as if you've hit their hitbox properly. I've set up some funny moments this way by hitting a lagging host, then standing there while their Finger hit me, only for the host to explode in the background.

Bleed wouldn't be half bad if the skill on ROB was nerfed. Corpse piler is honestly the most stupidly broken skill right now. The range speed & damage are just busted. It needs to be completely redone imo. Moonviel is bad, but I feel the rivers combo is that slight touch worse. I have a bleed build char, and try & thoroughly avoid rivers at all costs. I find it an incredibly mundane way to beat bosses. I prefer things like eleonoras poleblade, or applying my own ashes

This is why I can’t PvP anymore. The fun is sucked out by Carian shield users, ROB users, Insta arcane Madness users, and just... bleed bleed bleed. There’s fucking over 100 weapons in the game, but I see the same shit over and over. Only fromsoft can stop this by balancing the scaling. And coming from a bleed user from DS3, I’m a fucking shamed in everyone for abusing the over-scaled power to it.

Or just make the next meta yourself. There's alot of good options. Dominate PvP with fingerprint shield for a bit and you'll see some neat tricks be pulled. One of my favorites is someone trying to aoe snipe me with concealing + ballista crossbow x2. Was a fun game of cat and mouse. Or if I'm on my mage, rock slinging from max range + rushing the melee with carian slicer.

Yeah, i agree i stopped playing PVP/Invasions because it's not as fun as it used to be back in DS3. PVE is one of the best games I've played but PVP is definitely a problem. I'll just wait and hope for some balance fixes before trying it out again.

@@arcadianwing8831 you never really see madness builds, and they’re both difficult to run effectively and not inclined to cheese or spam attacks because the user also receives madness build up, 99% of the huge damage spells in this game are easy to doge if you’ve seen them at least once or twice, and honestly even huge FP bars isn’t awful because at least you see a range of spells being used and none that are actually threatening are difficult to avoid, moonveil was nerfed and honestly can be dodged pretty easily you don’t even need to roll to dodge it, everyone abusing rivers of blood is much worse because you see everyone not just abusing the same weapon but the exact same attack on the exact same weapon, not to mention bleed is kinda OP

Moonveil is easy to Dodge if you know they have it but it looks to similar the others. big give away if they use sorcery 99% of all wizards you use Moonveil the other 1% use a different katana

@@Little-wig It's still too unbalanced. I don't always have a shield with parry equipped and it's often spammed in gank situations which makes it harder to deal with. Rivers of Blood, the dragon breaths (rot specifically) and a couple of the spells. Stars of ruins I think, not sure because I haven't played a INT caster yet. Those I find are the most busted in pvp and mostly because of 2v1 or 3v1 situations. Honorable mentions to the instant madness bolt and bloodhound step. I find it super annoying to get sniped by some invisible guy and getting guarenteed death or getting hit by someone once while im dodging dragon breaths and got knows what else and I lose because of it. Bloodhound step isn't as bad, it can be really annoying and hard to hit someone and it should probably nerfed just a little but damned if it isn't the only thing sometimes that gives me a chance just to get an attack in.

The weapon art should do zero or very little damage, but build up a lot of bleed. This would kinda make sense since the weapon art is a magic blood sword extension that comes out of the actual blade. Also the weapon description says it's a gift from Mohg, who has a similar effect in his fight with the blood flame on the ground that does very little damage, but builds up bleed quickly.

Nah, just nerf bleed in general. It shouldn't stun, just deal damage. Even against Mohg sometimes you end up dying because you get stunned on the worst possible moment. RoB weapon art also does so much damage because the bleed stuns you and make so you can evade the rest of the combo. Also, if you are powerstancing, the second weapon should only deal 50% of the bleed build up.

They'd have to fix the bleed bug where you just randomly don't get bleed for that to be a thing. That, and the current meta is chugging estus until you're out. The weapon would be dead unless it procced bleed on ghost hits. That being said, rivers of blood needs a nerf, but not in a way that makes the weapon completely useless

Side note, i tried the cross-naginata after seeing it in your videos, with occult on a 60+ arcane build the damage and bleed rate are both very good. Them having natural bleed lets you lean more into damage and the powerstance spear set is so good anyways, it's an amazing option on late game arcane builds

I will say the biggest problems in pvp for me so far are 2-3 people with rivers of blood or people that hide inside a tower and wait for you to leave. Had this happen at bestial sanctum as well, a bunch of times. I understand running a strong weapon, but it's way too broken in groups.

TIP: Rivers of Blood sword, ironically, inflicts FIRE damage. Stacking fire defense helps, however, an excellent counter is the Crimsonwhorl Tear which converts non-physical damage into HP for a duration of 15 seconds. From my testing, the blood slashes are purely FIRE, so the only concern is stagger and/or bleed.

Rivers of blood with swarm of flies is amazing as long as you use the flies like a traveling shield- like they should be hitting you with the rivers of blood when you’re dodging the flies as soon as you get hit. And the bloody felice goes well with rivers of blood cause their weapon arts are sort of opposites.

I'm a huge proponent of the Flamberge, also. I tend to swap back and forth between the Claymore and the Flamberge, or power-stance with these two all leveled up. The Flamby's inherent bleed is a nice base to work with.

@@TheReapersSon Love using the Flamberge. I've been using it more or less since I picked it up on my strength faith run, paired with fire incants and buffs. The only thing it's missing is a thrust, and you can fix that with the right ash of war.

@@WedgeSkyrocket one of my favorite ashes of war believe it or not is the stomp. It doesn't do a lot of damage but it roll catches and stunlocks people in their moves and you can combo into it pretty quickly. Mix it up between throwing pots, kukris / throwing daggers, and stomp'n'slash.

The Omenkiller Great Cleaver is really fun! I was duel wielding those at like level 60 leveled both to +18 it was one shotting everyone with the jumping L2 in PvP I kept the wild strikes which with the ironjar aromatic is really good at poising through rivers of blood

Fun Fact: If you wear the Black Knife chest piece and use the Mimic Veil, your character will no longer become invisible and will instead stand/walk with the conjured mimicry.

You should use the varre mask, gives extra ar with bleed proc. Seppuku also counts for it.

@@Diran_ Yeah it's really easy to line up frost procs with heavy hitting attacks that can delete most of someone's healthbar. What I've sometimes done is use a heavy thruster with glintstone pebble, pressure a bit until the next hit will frostbite, then use glintstone pebble and watch their healthbar disappear. It's not even that hard to do, and stuff like giant hunt or a royal knight's resolve buffed attack work just as well.

I was having a lot of fun invading at the magic school but now I've stopped invading all together almost completely because of this katana. It's all anyone is using at higher levels and it has sucked all the fun out of pvp for me. Honestly i hope they nerf it to the point that it doesn't hold up in the meta, and nerf blood in general. I miss build variety.

Low effort RoB counter: High poise Adula's Moonblade Corpse Piler's ideal range falls within Adula's Moonblade's sweet spot. Eat the corpse piler and one-shot them while they are animation locked. Doesn't matter the level range or what buffs they have; if you're standing in the sweet spot, Adula's Moonblade *will* end you.
