IMO the BEST rock and roll/metal band of the last decade, and certainly of contemporary times.

Holy Jesus. I just saw these guys in Austin and it is the greatest live music experience of my life. Elder is beyond amazing on record. They are a religious experience live. If you have the chance, go see them! It blows my mind how phenomenally talented they are and their ability to create such compelling music.

Dang that song is SO good. Played live with such precision and power and feeling. Love the quality video with multiple camera angles. Starting to really love that drummer. But the guitar playing and writing is just next level.

Now that I've heard the new album, I finally know what that little jam at the begining is. It's actually one of the riffs of Blind (one of their new songs, and probably my favourite out of the new album), although not as hard hitting and awesome.

I really wanted Elder to release more material like Lore or Reflections. They are, without a doubt, two prog masterpieces of the 2010s. I don't know if the band has changed their style or if they're not interested in that vibe anymore, but their last two releases are so different from that vibe that it feels like it's not the band on the video
@jaym46972 жыл бұрын
I feel this comment. In my opinion they never should have replaced old boy on the drums but what's done is done. I feel as though the brains of this operation was almost trying to replace him on the gold and silver sessions by making music that was on an extremely high dynamic level just to choke him out.

Omens and their latest one are the kind of albums you need to absord little by little, I didnt really liked omens except for halcyon when it came out but now I listening non stop like I did with reflections of a floating world, the first one that I listened from them. Give it another spin, go easy and maybe you'll get that its the same band on a more "atmospherical" approach on heavy/doom/stoner music
