Thank you for interviewing Sam. He loves his people and I was one of those people that he helped. When I look at his face I see similarities especially to my Sister. Sam is cousin to the Mvskoke Chief and his MICCO was my Uncle Billy. They did good for the community so when I listen to this it gives me comfort. Last time I saw Sam he wanted to go to the Fiddle Dance and I sure hope he is dancing in the spiritual realm. His brother looks just like him so we still have one among the living however Sam is very spiritual. RIP

This man is an OG! Fr . It’s so amazing to see that someone Can fluently speak this language. This language is dying because many of the younger generations and millennials haven’t learned it and the older generations are dying out before they have taught the younger ones

God bless this man and the people documenting this to share our culture with the world. There will be a time in the future when people like myself want to hear the native tongue spoken & will come to this to hear it.

My Grandmother was born in 1904 between Monroe and Baldwin counties, AL. Surely she must have known people that spoke some of this language. I grew up going to the pow wows but stopped when my grandmother and aunt got too old.
