Thank you so much for posting this! What an amazing speech, from such a wise and intelligent man -- he has left us with this incredible guide, & now we MUST pass this knowledge on to our children & grandchildren, so that future generations will receive it as well. ALL PEOPLE would benefit from hearing this speech, not just once -- but MANY, MANY times -- because THESE UNCHANGEABLE TRUTHS WILL REMAIN IMPORTANT THROUGHOUT ALL TIME. If we can help people become so familiar with these concepts that they no longer NEED to hear his specific words in order to remember -- or to understand -- what he's saying , then at last this way of living can again become an integral part of their soul ... as it had been once with ALL of our ancestors -- back in the days before patriarchy rose to dominate the world and peaceful co-existence with the natural world became a distant memory. It is our only hope for achieving the meaningful & lasting changes that are so desperately needed if we are to break free from our current slavery, and for our descendants to survive in the distant future. We must teach them that no bible, philosopher, psychic or psychologist will EVER be able to convey the strength and wisdom they seek ... but it CAN be found -- IN THESE WORDS ... words that are there, waiting to be embraced. Thanks again for sharing this! :D

I want to see more from human beings like him. I only found two videos about him in KZbin, and not many views, that's sad. I'm spanish and I have problems with spoken english, so I can't understand all what he says. Subtitles will help a lot for people like me, because I can read english far better than I can understand it from spoken. The last part, when he talks about the truth, makes me feel like if someone is removing a long time stabbed thorn. I always had been thinking about that and almost nobody could understand me. People in this society usually confuse the social standards with the truth, that's why there are so many relativists. But there are only one truth and it's in the Nature, above from the social standards. And, even I'm not a indian, I also believe only that truth and seek for it all the time, but i'ts so hard because this society hides it constantly and today, even "oficial science" lies us about our nature and lots of things (example: the darwinist documentaries lies about our nature and animals).

the white culture views knowledge as information that is verifiable. but this speech is an example of wisdom. and this is true knowledge that generates power in the human being. this provides life. wisdom is incomprehensible to the instrumental views of knowledge that dominates the modern white society.

Boy, talking on pollution. You Kevin Stitt sure need to send the EPA on the 5 tribes! "Its good at the EPA(to take away sovereignty via the EPA), Kevin Stitt (lost in the other canoe as he is a Cherokee Citizen)." The 5 tribes sure hate a clean environment and respect for mother nature! This video proves it! I am joking! Exactly! We will beautify eastern Oklahoma into an environmental Paradise. Native American citizens should be able to plant a Tee-Pee or blockhouse in specific locations on the reservations to camp/stomp dance/hunt/sweat lodge and live like former native Americans. We need to channel our souls back to the wisdom of relations to nature and the creator!

Hello and Thank You for the video. I just want to say I agree on some words, and on some not. I think that we all believe in Truth! (I am the way, the truth, and the life John 14:6) How can you put all Christianity in one basket? I can speak as an Orthodox Christian. We aren’t those who did bad stuff, we did not conquer other people's lands, and throughout history we have defended our own. Maybe you talk about Catholics from Britain, France, Spain etc… we are not the same, and we will never be. And even today they still terrorize my country as they do to you guys! So please don’t use term “Christianity” in a bad way, because there is many “wolfs” with sheepskin on them. If we listen to the Christ there would never be any bad thing happening on this planet. There is a free will for every person to choose, no one can push you to do something you don’t want to do. God bless you all!

He didn't have a very high opinion of women. He considered them unclean during their menstrual cycle. He never mentioned that there can be medicine-women and are medicine women in his tribal tradition. It's a shame he was considered a spiritual leader within AIM when most of the members were women. The leadership of AIM was all male, maybe this is why. Women weren't treated with respect within AIM.
