Question of the Week: The old fable in this episode may suggest the disappearance of the Dwarves can be, in part, attributed to Azura. Although this story has been written off as a myth by most lore scholars, do you think it's possible the Daedra had a hand in the disappearance of the Dwemer? If not, why do you think they disappeared? @Michael-ol8he10 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure why they disappeared but I have a theory that they vanished to the two moons since they tapped into lorkans heart and the two moons are lorkans body. Also the khajiit worship the moons, maybe that's because the dwarves lived there. I also believe that the high elvs will vanish like the dwarves since they are trying to become immortal by stopping the spread of talons etc.

I believe it was because of Kagrunak's tools, (sorry for any misspellings) which when the tool hit the heart of Lorkhan, it tore the Dwemmer from the mortal plane of Nirn. Perhaps a new TES game could revolve around the reemergence of the Dwemmer?????

I believe the dwemer used the heart and tools to either 1. Vibrate at a different frequency and created/went to a realm of their own or 2. used the heart to travel to the moons, which are also part of lorkhan or 3. Because of 'the calling' they learned too much, and perished much like raiders of the lost ark.

Azura is good or bad. One race may view it one way, but another may see it differently. Azura graciously rewards the people who carry out her will, and worship her, but those who defy her name, and make her mad, are punished. Severely. Her motives can be questionable at times, but I believe she is the closest to "good" that a Daedra can ever get.

I originally misunderstood the meaning of something mentioned in the beginning, it's not that Azura is rage filled and spiteful or purely a kindly mother figure, she is both. fun fact: the black star is better than azura's star as black soul gems can trap ANY soul(humans,giants,etc) regular soul gems can't do that, take the black star or else you'll regret it.
@TuberoseKisser9 жыл бұрын
***** for gameplay reasons the black star is better if you want better enchantments, if you go without the black star then you have to find and spend gold on black soul gems to hold the grand souls.
@MidnightShamalan8 жыл бұрын
+MoonMoonFang i understand that for gameplay reasons, the black star is technically the 'smarter' choice for enchanters. but regret not choosing it? no. i don't think so. you get to a point in the game where you're finding black soul gems more often than you're using black souls, pretty much rendering it a curiosity more than a useful artifact. not to mention, you have to go out and refill it every time you use it. azura's star in either form is more of a nuisance than anything. cool in theory, annoying in practice. i'll stick to not pissing off a daedric prince with the power to change the form of an entire race, thank you.

actually the way I understood it when i read the book was that the real intentions of the wise dwemer is to fool the chimer into believing that azura is not all knowing and not tricking azura herself.. the way he did it was to bring the empty box and hide the flower in his sleeves so if she said its empty then he drops the flower swiftly from his sleeve into the box, and when she says there is a flower he keeps the flower in his sleeve.. the whole point was to prove to the chimer that dwemer beliefs are legit.
@MurasakiKemono7 жыл бұрын
One note, I believe the interpretation of Azura and the Box is a bit off. Daedra are only able to enter Mundus via to the power that mortals give them through faith or acknowledgement of their power. The sage didn't fool Azura. He fooled the priest.
