Wicked, using champers...Never thought of that. Awesome. Thankyou!!! I also take a bunch of the processed flowers and seperate ech one and put them back in the liquid before bottling then I just pour the fresh, cooled syrup into 2 litre water plastic bottles and store in the freezer. It doesnt freeze hard but sort of stays pliable, due to all the sugar added, when making the syrup. It saves me the sterilising rigamarole! There is nothing nicer than having those beautifully perfect little flowers, "floating around" in your drink...and then chewing them up...the aroma is wildly heady for some reason. It makes me feel like I'm in another dimension, in a fairytale somewhere...and that's without the champers! Adding champers, is something I'm looking forwards to in a few days too!

Hallo Tamara, und wieder ein tolles Video. Ich habe noch Holunderblütensirup vom letzten Jahr. Wenn man den kühl und dunkel aufbewahrt, hält der lange. Ich bereite meinen genauso zu wie Du, außer dass ich die Zitronenschale nicht abreibe. Meinen habe ich hauptsächlich als Geschenk verwendet, was immer sehr gut ankam. Bei diesem Wetter dient er natürlich auch als angenehme Erfrischung. Gestern hatten wir hier 31 Grad Celsius, und eine absolut hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit. Also absolut unerträglich. Ich wünsche Dir einen schönen, sonnigen Tag, ohne allzu große Hitze. Bis bald Claudia

Claudia Ebert danke Claudia, ja ich hab auch noch vom letzten Jahr und deshalb habe ich jetzt weniger angesetzt. Im Herbst mache ich aus den Beeren auch Saft und Marmelade. Ein toller Busch. Das WE war sehr schön aber heute regnet es schon den ganzen Tag. Ganz liebe Grüße

Great video style! Just made this recipe almost exactly as yours. Here in New England these grow abundantly. I was maybe too careful not to put too much stem in, which made for more work. Next time I’ll try your method!! Thank you for sharing!!

I've got an elderflower tree on the plot, I will definitely make this, it looks amazing. I use the elderberrys for jam later in the year. By the way I love your videos :-)))

Elderflower syrup , when it rest for 2 to 3 days is that refrigerator or on the counter ? Bottling will a wine bottle and cork due? What is the green bottle added at the end of the video used to make the drink?
