Gawd, I love Margaret! She reminds me of my late friend Amelia. She was 78 and I was 43 when I moved in with her to catalogue her extensive library. What a friendship that ensued. I miss her every day. She passed away at 96.

I saw the episode where the producers showed how they make this wonderful series. They have almost 100 cameras placed in the ER, and then they go through and edit. That way, there are no photographers in the room to get in the way.

I was 49 when my husband died of a massive heart attack. You tell your spouse and family to go to the doctor before things get serious. Go when you start having symptoms. Don’t let it get out of control. Margaret is saying everything that is going on in my life after my husband’s passing. Loneliness.

This episode was was so good. Maggie was amazing. It's 2023 now so I'm guessing she's now passed on but... Her life story was so interesting to me. My grandfather was extremely independent in his late 80s and was about to start a new business when he had a head injury and brain bleed that changed him for ever. His wife had had Alzheimer's for 14 years, basically my whole childhood. I don't remember her before. My husband is 10 years older than me and one or my fears is for him to get Alzheimer's. Unless I go early, I'll be alone for a while. I hope I can cope like Maggie.

Given how incredibly health she seems here, it's easy to imagine she could have made it past 100. And I do mean incredible... I don't think I've ever, ever seen a 92 year old looking that healthy, physically or (especially) mentally. It's a miracle to reach that age and have a voice that firm.

Don't they normally sedate people to make them fall asleep before electrocuting the heart? This is the first time I've seen someone react to it. It didn't look pleasant 😨

Most of the time, yes they would. But if a patient is too unstable for them to be sedated, then no. And no, it's not comfortable. As what a family member who was shocked while not sedated- it felt like being kicked in the ribs by a horse.

To the producers: please, lose the loud background music! Even with a hearing aid that transmits directly from whatever I’m watching on, the music drowns out the voices. I really enjoy this series but get so frustrated as the CC either lags behind or moves ahead, and detracts from seeing the screen (or the transcription isn’t complete, misspelled, missing key words.)
