my parents took in a silver tabby from some morons - "Kitty-Kat". He's beautiful and loves to play, loves nothing more than to be scritched and petted but he is NOT a lap cat. That's hard on them and me but that's the way KK is.

It was love at first sight. He stole my heart with that sad, forlorn look. Bless the kind souls that foster strays and abandoned animals and rehome them. I am a foster-fail, can't help getting attached to them so they end up under my forever care.

It took time, and I’m crying for an older kitty that found a good caring home. You took him to the vet and that shows how much you care. I so happy for Tom. I’m so happy for you both!

There is a place in heaven for people who take in older, sick animals off the streets. They have great compassion and patience. They are giving these animals tenderness they never had. I have had disabled animals and they just want a chance to live. Thank you for saving Tom-Tom and fostering kittens. I bet he let's you hold him one day.

I took in a feral cat after someone found her kittens. It took months for me to be able to pet her but now she follows me around the house and always has to be sitting on my lap or right next to me. It’s been a year and a half and I still can’t pick her up or hold her, but I’m so happy to let her live her life as she wants to, and so grateful for every bit of love she shows me because it took so much of my love and patience to earn it.

Hey, just want to say to anyone out there who is considering taking on a feral cat, it can be done and it's sooo worth it. I've done it twice, and both times in the beginning I thought "Uh oh. Maybe this cat is a little too wild, I don't know if I can do this." It takes a while, but as I write this, both of these dear old boys are curled up next to me on the couch, safe from cold and fear. It's a great feeling to be part of their "happily ever after."

It is indescribably rewarding to bring a neglected or feral cat indoors, get them to the veterinarian and help them back to a healthy life. I think they seem very grateful. It can take 2 years with progress and plateaus, but so fun to see them adapt to the good life indoors!

I rescued an old cat one time. He smelled so bad and I would have to wash his bedding. He had feline leukemia but he had a warm bed to go to when it was really cold. I kept it on my front porch because I couldn't bring him in to my cats. Thank you for taking care of this beautiful old kitty

I get it. Patience and love are the keys. Our last feral cat disappeared two weeks ago at age 22. We've scoured our land, the neighbors, but haven't found his body. It's sad that cats go away from us to die but it's a cat thing so... It took me 8 years to let me pet him but I was his favorite, the only one to pet him for 2 years. I miss him but I hope he crossed the bridge quickly and relatively pain free. I'll see him on the other side. Thank you for your patience and amazing progress with TomTom. Elderly animals need care sometimes I think more than younger ones.
