My sweet spot has been two Ecoflow River2 Pro's with a 200w panel each. I have a lot of power hungry toys. Two ninebot scooters, they take a ton of power each. Then a drone, fans, lights at night, an electric blanket if it is cold, a portable ice maker, a gmrs base station, then handles charging all the handheld devices. Between the two River2 pro's and my original Bluetti EB3A that just refuses to quit, I have it covered for now. Will probably need more later haha

Oh man, I just bought this mid October for $180!! Bummer. But so far using it with brand new EB3A and it's working good. I specifically liked that it had PD45 USB-C and QC 3.0 usb connectors! I directly charged up my phone quickly to test it out. I love all the connectors. So far I'm happy with product. It had very good specs and was WAY less expensive than major name competing panels. Just wish I'd gotten your discount!! LOVED your exit skit. But don't change your format.

Highlight the need for proper awg wire. Few people mention this often overlooked topic. BLUETTI provides a 16 awg MC4 to Barrel Plug. I bought a 12 awg version instead via Amazon. I can easily see the need for 20ft of MC4 extension cord using 8 awg. A wise person said get the best wire, since you might expand and need the better wire in the future. Now, I am losing less than 3%, a tiny amount of voltage drop.

I just used this over the last week to do a series of tests to send videos to Bluetti to troubleshoot my AC300. The length of the cord, all the adapters, and the integrated kickstands make it perfect for this, and also my far-and-away favorite portable solar panel. Fantastic package to go with a small solar generator. Thanks for reviewing this one!

People please remember not to torture any of these 'flexible' panels. Yes they are slightly forgiving, but they are still fragile hi tech. Don't walk on them. Prop them up nicely, so they won't sag. Don't stuff them rudely into tight spaces. They have a very limited deformation cycle life. They have normal wire connections inside which stretch and break, and the coating can crack, decreasing the output. They hate heat. It's a tuff one because they are pretty much designed to sag propped up in the open cooling air. Don't lay them flat on your blistering hot rv roof. They need something like a big bbq grill to really support them properly.

Great advice, but ... Is it ok/possible to just hang them somehow in the summer sun? Does the temp matter so long as both sides have plenty of airflow? How long would it take under full sun to completely charge an EcoFlow River power station?

We have two of these and had to return one because it stopped sending power and charging. I think one of the wires in one panel burned. It had a white and black spot at the bottom. They were fine delivering from 80-to the 90s. I do not think you can leave them in the rain either; they are resistant, but read recommendations to put them away in heavy rain. We are still waiting for the replacement after more than a week. The other panel is still working fine. They have a 200 watts, and I am checking it for my 200 self-made 200A battery system with 40 mptt. I am waiting for more reviews on it.

Your 10 minute review was great., thanks I’ve got a folding 60w water resistant (from a time that was better than the competition) panel from Jackery to recharge my 290. This would charge it faster, charge the no name Chinese power station I use for my CPAP, and stay useful as I consider a more powerful power station.

No, he is referring to large batteries used in solar generators and DIY systems. They need a charge controller to properly charge the cells withing the systems. You can charge devices directly as they have built circuitry to handle internal lithium batteries. I personally never charge my devices directly, but charge a power bank or solar generator that then charges my device. Not efficient or portable, but I do take electronics mountain climbing: I do not climb mountains.

This might be an excellent replacement for my Eco Worthy 120w panel. The most I've seen out of when it was new was 96w testing it in cold very clear November day in Toronto(686ft ASL) which is usually super hazy in the summer with all the damn lakes we got going on here. God knows what it gets now after I've raped it for a few years. It still pumps out at least 60w to charge my Golabs R300 so I'm still using it. I have a MPT-7210A DC to DC boost converter coming which allows up to 60 volts solar input and a 10 AMP output up to 90v to charge my ebike directly from the sun. I also have a 60w in pristine condition Aimtom panel which uses real sunpower cells. So I'm wondering if maybe in parallel or series even though they are mismatched which is super inefficient will charge up the bike a little faster. We'll see when it comes. From the videos I've seen it actually seems to work a little better in parallel than series but I'll test it and put it on my channel. The good thing about the Aimtom panel is it folds up into the size of a book so it's extremely easy to carry. What I was doing before is carrying around my GolabR300 and the slow 2A charger it came with in a backpack for extended range rides which is a bit of a bummer lugging all that equipment. If I used the fast charger, it could handle it to about 52% before there was just too much voltage sag on the battery and it would error out. Another experiment would be to hook up my 60w panel to the Golabs R300 to see if it can keep the voltage high enough to use the fast charger on longer rides. If this MPT-7210A can do away with lugging the R300 and charger. Using the inverter to change from DC to AC then back to DC again which is a huge amount of losses then so much the better and cut down lugging around 15-20 pounds of gear to about 5 which you could easily fit in a small day pack with lots of room for snacks and a drink. While 60w would be small, probably around 40w actually going into the battery with the conversion loss. If you stopped for an hour or two at the beach to have a little snack and soak up some sun it would give you a little back into the bike to keep the voltage up hence the speed instead of it just idly sitting there slowly discharging.

Good video for a decent looking product. I have an Overland Solar Bugout 130 solar panel ((Solar charger(their name for it)) and was wondering it could be used in parallel or series with the Elecaenta 120 w solar panel. I checked their FAQ area and this is what they had to say: Can I connect ELECAENTA 120W solar panel and other brand solar panels together in parallel or in series? No, you can't do that. Different solar panels have different output voltages and currents, so when the panels are connected in parallel or in series, the solar panels can be damaged. Now I remember one of your videos on how to get around this. Do you think that it is possible to use these two different panels in parallel or series? Cheers. Oh, and man bun at the end was a nice touch.

The y cable that has the Anderson connector won't plug into my Bluetti EB3A. I have to use one of the other adapters. Not the end of the world, but not optimum either.

Would you use this with a PECRON E1500?

I have a question, can I used this for my Pecron P600?. There's an input for 12/18 volts on the Pecron and on the spec sheet of the Elecaenta it says Open-circuit voltage 18.71V and maximum power voltage 22.2V.

Another commentator/panel owner said it's not totally rain proof. It's rain resistant. Light rain is okay, heavy rain means burnt wires. Instructions say no heavy rain.

Within the unit, are the four individual (sub) panels internally wired in series or parallel?

I don't why people purchase these 100 watt solar panels to charge there power stations because it takes forever to charge any thing since most panels will only do about 50% of the Manufacturer claim specs even on the best days full of sun very misleading so on a 120 watt panel you only going to get about 60 watts at any given time max need at least a 200 watt panel to get about 120 watts

Good day. I have more of a personal question in about your review. First of all , in context to your review, I am looking for a portable solution with a high efficiency rating. Off Grid Trek makes what looks to be a great 200 watt solar blanket. Very portable and easy to use many situations. The only problem is the price. $1,500 for a 200 w pound is way out of my league. How do these stack up with those being the competition as far as efficiency? I'm looking for a setup that's not going to break the bank. The second question which is more of the personal opinion is about Arizona. I live in New York and grow weary of the city. I have been racking my brain for a place to transplant. For some reason Arizona looks great to me. I love the open land and of course the access to sun. It's not the same here on the East Coast. What is your opinion on living there? Are the employment opportunities? Do you find your electrical grid to be stable? Is the water clean or do you have to filter? Just looking for a little guidance

The peak effiency of most solar panels is about 23%, it's definitely not worth paying that much more.

I am not sure if you could do a pair of these with the Bluetti EB3A. That has a max input voltage of 28V and amperage of 8.5A and no more than 28V. This panel is 18V (so no to series, that would make is 36V) and 6.6A (So no to parallel, that would make it 13.2A). Am I coreect with that assessment?

I bought an eco flow river 2, it just came 24 hours ago. It says it charges on ubc c, but I plugged mine into USB c and the unit didn't charge and now won't show the output wattage an AC. Will contact Eco flow on Monday, but wanted to share my experience. Not good.

@@worldcomicsreview354 this is what the eco flow should do as well. Appreciate it, but it appears to be a defective unit that eco flow can figure out since I've owned it less than 24 hours before a failure.

Somebody else makes these, and then a lot of companies stick their own branding on it. I have a Lvyuan one, it didn't come with as many adaptors, though! In May I plugged it into my small Anker power station's 8mm input, and it went right up to the maximum 65w input immediately. For about 10 minutes, then the power station noped out. Over the summer I had the panel set up horizontally over my laundry rails, between two buildings. Very imperfectly placed, but I could get ~55w when the sun was at it's height. I also plugged in both the 8mm and the USB-C, for "dual charging". The Anker's 8mm input isn't very sensitive, but sometimes the USB-C, which starts taking charge at much lower currents, serves to "wake up" the main input. It was left out horizontally in all weathers over Japanese summer, with no obvious ill effects. I now have it hung vertically, to catch the rising sun. Best I've seen in this even-more-imperfect setup is 12w, but that's 10% of the output almost entirely from reflected, not direct, sunlight, which ain't arf bad. At this rate it's only putting about 10% charge into the Anker per day, but better than nothing. Hung vertically, the rain can more easily get into the pouch at the back where the junction box is, but it's only been in one small shower so far. Anker's own Powerport Solar 60 is vastly inferior. It flops in both directions, can't output from more than one port simultaneously (unless you're using 2 USB-A's) and I've never seen it give enough power from the 8mm to even wake up the small Anker it's "made for".
