I have absolutely no idea was this video was recommended to me but If you are considering amputation, I would suggest to you to follow STRICTLY the Gerson diet (watch the 5 or 6 movies made about them), it is generally associated with terminally ill patients who try to follow another route since allopathic medecine unfortunatly didn't work for them...I would say that 10 to 15 % of the people are healed (or in 'remission' in medical temrs), it varies a lot acutally depending on the type of cancer (all these people were initially sent home by the doctors to die). Anyways ! This diet works for MANY other things INCLUDING complex fractures as yours. I am still a sceptic to be honest about this diet but it seems to do wonders for some people. Give it a try , nothing to lose, you can do it in your own home and learn the whole process by yourself for free on internet.

Lol. I actually have a lot of stomach issues and have tried to follow different diets-- low fodmap, low histamine, etc. I will look into that one, thanks!

Lol. Im in canada, i totally get you on "I showers yesterday i save water today because its also cold". The biome thing isnt really true pretty much everyone needs a weekly dunk. Would a transfer bench work in your tub?
@lilyfrancfurt5 ай бұрын
I didn't realize transfer benches existed! I did have a shower stool which I used after my surgeries. I will look into this... hopefully I don't shy away from it because I don't want to feel "geriatric."

@lilyfrancfurt a transfer bench is basically like a shower stool that goes across the tub, it's wider than a stool. Don't worry about feeling geriatric worry about feeling safe when you're in the shower. My friend got meningococcemia when she was 18. She survived and needed a transfer bench and all kinds of mobility aids because she was a double below knee amputee.

@@milkweedsage I wish I knew people who also had limb difference/mobility issues. I feel like that could go a long way in normalizing it, and then I don't seem like the one anomaly.

@@lilyfrancfurt are you on tiktok? Lots of people there with limb differences

Also, neural release physio. Not the same as normal physio. If a nerve is stuck in scar tissue and thats why you have so much pain, that might help quality of life.

One last thought. Your life isn't ended... it's on pause and you can reboot. I wish you all the best on your journey whether that be with foot, with bionic foot, with wheelchair and no foot... I support you

I hear a lot about nerve pain but I'm not sure that is what I have-- how would you describe nerve pain?
@milkweedsage5 ай бұрын
@lilyfrancfurt it can vary. But imagine a nerve being a little string that's supposed to be able to slide freely through the area. If the nerve is kind of stuck against the soft tissue it'll pull and send a pain signal to your brain. Neural release physiotherapy can get the string unstuck so you have one less issue contributing to your pain.

@@milkweedsage I do feel a pulling between my first and second toe at the ball joint, almost stringy (probably isn't a nerve though). It feels like tissue from the big toe joint and the second toe joint have grown together ...and not in a good way.

@lilyfrancfurt I wonder of brutally hard massage followed by passive range of motion would help? I'd still look up neural release physio as the nerve can he adhered along that connective tissue. If nothing else can rule it out.
