Cope and lies. There has been presidential elections where alternative electors cast their vote. They could do that prior to 2022. 1960 and 1872 are other examples. 2000, 2004 and 2016 results were challenged by democrats and in 2004, congress debated and the Ohio objection did not sustain. This election was not controversial because the results were clear. There were no recounts in any state and no controversies. 2012 is the last election where it was not contentious.

I’m all in favor of an actual ballot audit to look at signatures, addresses, whether the ballots themselves are legitimate, etc. Also, this attorney is a liar. The courts did not consider the substance of the lawsuits as the courts dismissed the cases for lack of standing. With his elementary understanding of civil procedure, I bet his malpractice carrier loves him a lot.

No, the EC stops one or two States or one region from dominating the presidency. CA or CA/NY would control the other 49/48 states if it was a raw vote accumulation by the States to decide who wins. The Framers rejected that, and it's a good thing they did. It's not a waste to make sure the other 48 States or small States/cities aren't ignored by the candidates in campaigning only in NYC, Chicago, L.A. Philadelphia, etc.
