Electra Glide // How To Change Transmission Seals On Evo Motor

Hey guys! In this video, you'll see me change the main shaft transmission seal, as well as the jackshaft seal. It's pretty simple if you know the basic's of working on a motorcycle. It only takes removing the outer and inner primary. However, I would not recommend this job if you're not too mechanically inclined!

video is titled wrong. That is the primary cover seals, Not the transmission seals.

Doing this job right now on my 87 Electra glide. Installing the clutch you were able to just slide it on and tighten it, mine seems to have a ton of pressure any insight?

I have a 95 electra glide, and after changing the primary gasket, the primary is still leaking ! I'm not sure if I need sealer or maybe something else is wrong... all bolts torqued

Hi! Are you sure its just leaking from the primary? Sometimes it can be from the back where the inner and outer primary meet. Has the bike been dropped? I've seen a warped primary cover before.

I have a question i have the same bike im doing that hole same side new clutch sesls and slator my question is is there two washers in front of magnet befor compressor book shows one large washer but on your video you put one thick and one thin just need help putting back together, thanks

I also have an 86, If i remember rt those are basically to space the chain out correctly so it is inline with the sprocket on the clutch basket. I may be and prob am wrong tho lol
