My Dad's hometown. Spent a lot of time there in the Summer in the 70s and early 80s at my Grandparents place on the outskirts of town in what they called "No Man's Land". Cool old downtown with brick roads.

I grew up here in the 80s and 90s. What you said was an old used car lot was actually my aunt's old restaurant. The Whistle Stop drive in.

Electra tx..known for that 1985 state title…everything is dying in Electra..pump Jacks city…been there once to watch Tioga tx play ball…maybe someday again Electra

most of Electra is hospital or oil fields. electra was born on oil explosion known as clayco #1. Elctra is named after the daughter of waggoner that started nearby waggoner ranch.

Never seen anything uglier than the landscape along 287. Electra is right in the middle of that. It is an ugly, ugly drive for many hours.
