I grabbed one for $20 it wasp sitting out side for years and i was blown away by it working with new batteries but it was low on power so i was expecting a bad motor but i changed out the speed controller and it ran perfect these razors are a beast of a machine

Absolutely awesome project. The fabrication of straps, welding, and painting all very nice. One happy girl!

This might sound weird, but I was especially proud of welding the nuts onto the steel plate. The brackets mounted to the threaded holes just perfectly. I'm less of a terrible welder than I used to be!

I'm going to pick one of these up tonight. I love the last picture of your daughter. The blurred background makes it look like she is going fast.

I got the same one for free from my neighbors also. Time do do probably the same thing for my boy. Great video, thanks

Well done, that is very nice. We also have a 24v razor toy like that, however we made a custom 8s4p lithium pack (~32v we charge it to). That gave it a little better top end I think (I never measured the top speed on the lead acid batteries when they were new.) But now it hits about 15mph.
@BenjaminNelsonX5 жыл бұрын
Well, on a DC motor, voltage is proportional to speed, so higher voltage is faster! I think I'd be scared of this one going that fast!
@jontscott5 жыл бұрын
Just wait, my 7 year old is already wanting more speed so I think a 1000w 48v motor and controller is going to be next.

I am also thinking I need a remote kill so that if they go too far away or I hit the button it slows down and then kills it self.

15 mph on a scooter is white knuckle, lol. Those bird scooters are sketchy!

Do you think you can pop links in here for exactly what’s needed to make this At least 36v ? Dumb it down for me please including the charger and anything else needed...will the motor still work?

Fantastic 😁👍. I just bought 1 of these for my Goddaughter 7th birthday she loves it. Lol your making me wish I got 1 used I love the upgrade you basically doubled the gas tank with the 2 batteries upgrades. It should run a very long time the stock batteries are true to there run time about 40 mins or 5 miles which doesn't seem like a lot but its decent for stock. And I would bet my Goddaughter would pick the same color too lol if we paint it. The only upgrade I did right away was I ordered these 20$ police lights for a cars grill 2 white 2 red and I nicely drilled holes for the wires then hot glue gunned them on I also ordered a little 5Ah 12v rechargeable battery for the lights and any 12v accessories I was able to zip tie the battery upside down under the point of the front plastic body to the matel frame so nothing is seen. The lights are nice because they can strobe like a police car or be solid I mounted the 2 whites in the front like headlights and the red on the back for tail lights. Thanks for sharing 😁✌

Just this morning, my daughter asked for my wife's old GPS to mount on her ATV's handlebars! I guess she won't get lost riding around the yard and the GPS has a speedometer built in!

I need you to come to my place and convert my son's old pedal kart to electric. I think he'd love it as much as the little girl is loving her new electric ATV.

I hope that working on videos like this inspires folks like you to try similar projects for yourself. Most of these things aren't too hard, they just take a little work and a little learning, but that's the best part!

The boxes for this model have a lot of fasteners, making them easy to lose. Really quite hazardous without, though the girl may be too old for the machine - so her feet may not fit with the box in place.

Amazing project 👌🙌🙌 you can add some safety measure using Arduino nano and ultrasound sensor you can do prevent from dashing and control speed when object is ahed of 10-13 ft. So you maintain safe distance and slow done speed aslo

I wish i have one..that needed fixing..I'll just wack it make it fit into a powerwheels body..so I dont have to deal with the plastic wheels wearing out. i have to run thier powerwheels at 5s lipo or 6s lion...anyways. It just depends on the kid...one of my niece..dont care if it can power slide or do donuts she just needs it on 18v....it's easier for me to manage her ride if I just use 24 volts and rear air tires..so we can drive it to a local park...which is sort of like a golf course. so she can drive in the grass or climb small hills...without tearing up the plastic gears. She can handle 24v powerslide or donuts...but dont care much for it. as long as the car is pink or purple..do over 10 mph....it's good. her younger 4 year bro...on the hand...demands it do donuts and faster than his sister.lol

You have so many Lithium iron Why not power it with that
@BenjaminNelsonX5 жыл бұрын
Those batteries are HUGE and weight 43 lbs each. Two of them won't fit in the cycle and two batteries plus the girl would put the vehicle over the weight it's designed for.

I liked the video for the fact you did this for your daughter. However, there was no proper view of how you did the change over or how you "actually" fixed this 4 wheeler. You basically just said what you did with some photos. Nice try tho.
