Eskimo is a derogatory term for inuit people, mainly from Greenland. Here in Denmark we for many years had an ice cream called “Giant Eskimo” but they changed it a few years ago aswell.

They changed their name mostly because the name was derogatory. You can watch a video that they published with a professor discussing the term, etc.

One of the songs on the recently announced album is titled F*ckboi (fully written of course, the * is just here because of PrudeTube) so I don't think one should worry about an overall PG13 attitude.

They haven't changed a bit. They changed the name, and removed a few really old songs that had problematic lyrics. They are not censoring their current music. I do think they are aiming for a more mainstream sound after not making it into Eurovision this year.

I think they only unlisted one of their older songs, because it had derogatory words for gay people in it, as well as overly sexual (yes, more than they are now) themes in them. They should still have their older songs on their channel, just with changed names and changed thumbnails. Nothing's changed apart from their name (because "eskimo" is derogatory for the inuit people) and like 2 or 3 lines of one of their OLD old songs (because bad f word and sexual themes).

My least favorite song by them, instrumentally and vocally, 🔥, but the fact that I have no Fkn clue what he said for 3/4 of the song is keeping off my playlist… maybe along with something else that was missing? Not sure what it was but yeah, next! Lol
