Having the cowl open from the top also lets you install the batteries from behind the prop where I would much rather be.

There's an easier way, measure from the firewall to the thrust washer. Now measure the electric motor mount to the thrust washer, difference is what your new mounting block size should be.

Ben Hynum honestly neither are designed for that plane. But we are developing one for that airframe and should have it available soon.

Is it just me, or is anyone else AGHAST at cutting the cowl in half? What kind of look does that leave you with? There must be another way.

This particular airframe was modified in this manor to keep the electronics safe while flying off water. We agree that it’s not ideal for most applications.
