Lot of juice. I like to see the volts. A screwdriver would work just to see if the fence is shorted. Good upload.

Good video on tester. Simple to use. All of them are about the same. Thanks

Don't know what that Jeffrey guy is talking about. Simple to use. Nothing complicated about it. You did the test like the manufacture stated. Guess they don't know what their taking about, according to the Jeff guy.

Wow, you did a great job making something so simple and made it very complicated. Generally the charger is located at the barn where 120V is located. So you place 2 ground rods as shown 6' apart outside where rain from roof keeps the ground wet. During a drought you pour some water around the stakes and that's all that's needed. To check the fence forget those testing gadgets. All you need and the best tester is a plastic/rubber handle screwdriver. Place it against T-post and place it near hot wire. You should have a nice ker-snap and at least 1/8" to 1/4" blue spark if you want to keep cows, sheep, horses in. That screwdriver tells you the ground stakes are fine and have enough moisture, the charger is working right, fence is connected and not grounded out someplace. Forget the voltage scam or the miles charger says, what matters is the Joules and the "poke" animals get. Years ago the cows got out and the battery/solar charger was showing 6,000 volt on tester but you could barely find a tiny spark using a screwdriver. My little fencer for chicken nettiing is only 1 joule but says it's 15 mi. My 100 mi. charger for the cows is 6 joule and jumps a great spark. My 200 mi. charger is 15 joule and will really hurt ya. All Zareba. The screwdriver or broken off plastic post located by fence tells me all I need to know. Here's the best tip: Place the 2 pins of an old florescent bulb to straddle top hot wire and place the other end on the ground. Repair shop says it doesn't hurt charger or weaken strength of poke. Every night from my living room I see it blinking bright and know fence is hot and cows are in. I've done this for years and love it. Doing 35 + acres of pasture here in Michigan.

Not sure how he made a tester complicated. Looked simple to me. The charger is not 120v. Not sure how you thought it was. Looks solar powered to me. I hooked mine up like Tom did. As well as many peeps I know. Your long story is complicated.

He did do a great job. His videos, his way. It is solar powered, not 120v.
