Thanks for your comment! No need to worry. With this renovation, the temperature inside the wood has dropped to 60°C. The temperature on the outside of the wood is below 40°C.

Thanks for your comment! This furnace can reach 1000℃, but it takes a long time. The way to raise the temperature is either to raise the calorific value or to raise the heat retention. In my environment, 1500W is the upper limit, so I used two 600W coils to make it 1200W. 1200W is weak, so I made a furnace to increase heat retention. If your environment is capable of higher power, I think it is possible to run the same furnace at higher temperatures.

@@7chome_seisakusyo good to see you're replying. Here I only have max to 1800 kva, haven't configure max Amps yet. I lived in Indonesia. Appologize for my bad english. Your model, sir, it reach up to 500 °C in 1.5 hour? I think about to carbon activation, copied from Cody's Lab channel. His research need up to 900°C to get the job done on base charcoal.

@@rhinosaputera4778 My furnace can reach 500°C in 1.5 hours, but it takes a very long time to raise the temperature further from there. It will take more than half a day to reach 900°C. You make activated carbon!? That is amazing! I don't know much about it, but it sounds like it would be better to use a fire than an electric furnace. Good luck!

@@7chome_seisakusyo no, haven't start yet. Your video is kind of trigger to get it start as simple functional setup, easiest parts/tools to build an electric furnace. Environment power source is my only issue then.
