Jack's bass complements Jorma's playing so well. I wonder how it feels to play together for so many decades.

I have been as continuously awestruck by listening to these two extraordinary players as I have been delighted to have been sitting in the same music hall with them. I had to wait 3 years from getting Surrealistic Pillow (1967) to seeing the Airplane in concert (1970). I have never been the same again.

Yes I saw them in Austin in a small club in the 90s. Have a few records. Jorma played around in Austin without Jack for a while. But as the shirt says, if you don't know Jorma you don't know Jack. Cheers.

Thanks so much! I LOVE Hot Tuna! I found out about you guys because my Dad is a raving Jefferson Airplane fan - followed the band all through the name changes - but never found Hot Tuna, somehow - But *I* did! There's something magic about Jack and Jorma together. It's the Blues roots, I suppose. But it's just incredible. "Death Don't Have No Mercy" might be my favorite. I am so grateful to have found Hot Tuna, basically by accident! I also recommend KBC to anyone who can find their album - That's Kantner, Balin and Cassidy, to anyone who has never heard of KBC. It's kind of its own thing, too, like Hot Tuna is, but it's spectacular in its own way, and if you're a fan of either group, it's worth it.

Agree. If your Father was JA fan (Signe Anderson, Grace Slick, Jorma Kaukonen, Paul Katner, Jack Casady) surely your Father also listened Quicksilver Messenger Service. By the way look for the JA Rooftop concert wich was a year before the Beatles. Cheers Kate.

Saw ALL these guys, spoke to Jack Casidy at SUNY New Paltz Paltz and limited 10 seconds Paul Kantner at Radio City, NY, funny that night I talked to Jack, Jorma went over to open air door SUNY New Paltz, I said to myself, I m not gonna disturb him he s all alone, my only comment could be Jorma, you are the greatest...not comment to interrupt your rock star, Jack was VERY down to earth, honest, serious in speaking to, a revelation for some with a Harpo Marx, no speak...I always loved Jack, we all do

I am a San Francisco soundman , living in the Ohio Valley. Jorma is not just San Francisco- but also Ohio sound.... Quicksilver sang take another hit of fresh air but Los Angeles burnt my eyes and made me cough so back to Ohio rich in ancient history and quite a beautiful state.

Yeah! @pchacha469 That is precisely the style of killer guitar and bass songs that I liked from the Californian style of acid rock and even at 68 years old I still collect that psychedelic blues rock from the late 60s and early 70s that was the era in which I enjoyed my youth more listening to good AM and good FM Underground! Greetings from New Jersey, sincerely Enrique.

Makes me wish I lived closer in OH-HI-OH instead of Oklahoma.. My favorite concert of all time was Electric Hot Tuna at the Famed Cains Ballroom in Tulsa. I still have the poster, Tickets were $5 or $6 at the door in November of sometime in the Mid-70's.

Hard to beat this show, but Quarantine Concert #28 does, it's hot f'n awesome! If you haven't listened to it, I wholeheartedly recommend it.
