Electric Hypercar Manufacturer Calls Out Mate Rimac: "Sorry Mate, But I'm Not Going Back!"

Automobili Estrema CEO Gianfranco Pizzuto has spoken out against recent comments made by Rimac founder Mahteh Rimac. In a LinkedIn post, Pizzuto argues that electric drivetrains are the way forward for hypercars. This follows recent comments from Mahteh Rimac, who said that Rimac isn't an electric automaker and does "whatever is most exciting at the time," suggesting that a Nevera successor could be hydrogen, diesel, or even LPG-powered.

Rimac has the most ever influence on developing electric cars and other solutions, but deep in his heart he is a petrol-head.

Perhaps Mate Rimac was too optimistic about prospects of the Rimac Nevera. Looks like he managed to sell 50, vs. expectation for 150, so he thinks customers are not interested in electric hypercars. But the truth is the only reason 50 people paid millions of dollars for a Croatian hypercard from a startup was that it was different from other established alternatives, and the pinnacle of EV technology. I don't think he could find one person who would pay a few millions for a Croatian ICE hypercar instead of a Ferrari or Lamborghini. In the world of hypercars pedigree matters more than performance. Rimac managed to sell 50 hypercars with zero pedigree.

Why are people even commenting him, Rimac Automobili are the smallest part of his companies... Mate build a big center for car battery research and people really don't understand what he's talking about!!! Mate was saying everything about Bugatti, that he doesn't want to build E - Bugatti, he said that for Bugatti is better or will be better as a Hypercar, 16V with Rimac tech and battery!!!
