@flemingcourt I've had a major crush on Jeff since 1974. I saw them in 1978, and I walked up close to the stage, (back in the day you could do that), and he smiled right at me. CRUSH CEMENTED!!! I would love to see him again, but it's not in the cards. But I do have all of ELOs albums and kick ass stereo, and I have a mile long KZbin play list, so I'll be halfway content with that.

I am really puzzled how not many people think this is the best band ever. They constantly say they are similar to the Beatles, when I don't feel like that at all. I liked the beatles, but didn't love them. I LOVE these guys. Their music is miles ahead and pure genius.

One of the BEST songs of ALL TIME!! Play it at my funeral!! yeah! i was first struck by the strange magic of this iconic band at the age of 17 in 1977. The love affair has never ended. Just heard a song in the car today and thought Jeff had put out something new. It was wild....had Tommy James & the Shondelles influence and a George Harrison slide guitar along with Beatles sound. It was by Flyte, called Tryin to Break Your Heart.

Hugh drops his cello at the beginning! 😁 Ya know what? This was the Midnight Special from NBC. This is when E. L.O. guest hosted for the entire show during their tour of A New World Record - and I just like to say how happy I am that I got to live through this and watch it when I was young even though it started at 1 a.m. on the east coast (U.S.A.) I was 12 years old and everything that people tell you about how great it was to live through that time period of music was true!

Jeff is rocking that Afro! I love this band, have loved them since God knows when. The seventies rocked...sex, drugs and rock and roll when they weren't dancing at the disco. I was too young for most of it but I remember the rock and roll!

This was the band I saw in Cardiff Capitol with Kelly and Mik. I hated it when Jeff went Mr Blue Sky. He got really big headed and the music suffered. The original ELO were amazing.
