You can turn off the lane-keep assist by pressing the green button next to the emergency button above the infotainment system. It will show you your drive assist options and let you choose which ones to turn on/off. Also, the Green+ mode doesn’t shut off your radio, only the climate comforts like heated seats/steering wheel, ac/heater, but the cabin fan will still work so you can still get air, just not cold or hot. Since the next gen MINI SE won’t be coming to the US, I’m hoping MINI/BMW will be able to upgrade the battery of the current SE down the road to improve its range. Fingers crossed!

So do you charge to 100% each night? I’ve have had mine almost a month and wandering how battery is holding up with capability to tel it to stop at 85%. I hate to censor system. I find I am always holding my finger on button to trim it off before I leave. I hate that shack wheel 🛞 feature.

Yes, 100 percent. The Mini has a smart charger, it actually only charges to about 80 to 85, but the dash says 100 Percent. All EV's should do this.

So how long will it take to charge the longer range SE?

Absolutely no idea. It might be new tech. I'll let you know when I get more info.

yes. The warning system is a bit sensitive. And the cash avoidance doesn't avoid certain situations. Perhaps the system needs to recognize unusual configurations like no bumper or brake lights. Yes. the full re-gen is awesome for one-pedal driving.

@@ScottRods There is a voice sync disorder and some video frames turnout black... it is really strange cause from my Desktop and Laptop im not experiencing such issues... never had before... i can send a small video recording the tv display if needed.

Now that its winter what is you opinion on preconditioning? My belief is that the mini will precondition the cabin only, but will not precondition the battery. It’s a hot topic on mini forums with people arguing both ways.

I can confirm the next generation mini has no drivers display. It all goes through the centre round oled touchscreen and in conjunction with a heads up display. It will also come in 40kw & 54kw battery’s

Mine is now 18 months old 10300 miles - like you I go to 100% but unlike you mine cost zero during May as I charged it off my solar panels which I can top up from 70% to full on a sunny afternoon but otherwise my findings are like yours - very cheap to charge in offpeak. It was a huge shock to my wallet when I added a D250 New Defender 90 in March. £130 a tankful of diesel every 20 days but at least I can go 550 miles on a tankful at 70mph. The Minx though has a bigger boot than the Landy - only 2 supermarket bags for life in the Landy’s boot seats up, 5 in the Mini’s! Also Mini’s back seats fold flat so Ikea runs are possible in it but not in the Defender where the “vegan leather” seats don’t fold flat or anywhere near flat! I knew that before I bought the Landy though as it can go places where the Mini wouldn’t even dream of looking round the entrance gate to! One sad thing about my Minx - for the 2nd time somebody has I think reversed a tailgate hung SUV spare tyre onto the bonnet in a public car park - so now I have 2 matching dents either side of the Mini bonnet badge - no paint damage hence why I have only recently noticed the 2nd one……….
