My Ryobi was shutting off after 2-3 minutes of use. The thermal switch was doing its job. It was overheating due to low oil because of a small oil leak. I did what you show here and my problem was fixed. Sometimes its not worth the time it takes to fix things.... this time thanks to your video less than an hour and less than 20$! thx

Thanks for this very helpful video. My Nilfisk C110.4 had same problem with leaking oil. Actually the pump inside looks almost identical and I could follow your steps easily. I used STP Engine Stop Leak and full synthetic 5W40 oil. Seems that oil leakage has stopped and my washer works well. Again, great video 😊, thanks

My old $100 Home Depot special is getting long in the tooth. I'm thinking for my money, you'll see it on the curb with a Free sign and I go buy a new one. Good video though, thanks!

Great video and explanation. After you put back together with oil did check to see if any of those plugs lead to the oil chamber? I have same unit but mine does not come back on after I let the trigger off, have to stay on continuous. I was wondering if you noticed if there is an unloader valve on this unit?

from what i know about pumps and machinery in general, you don't want to use engine oil, it has detergents in it that will keep fine metal particles in suspension turning that oil into an abrasive over time, you want to use a non detergent oil so probably compressor oil would be a better bet if you cant get pump oil. if you dont have a filter on the system then dont use detergent oil but the old rule applies, 'wrong oil better than no oil'

I've got a pretty weak electric pressure washer that still works, but I really need to upgrade it even though I only use it twice a year on my house. The work would go so much faster with a better electric machine since gas is not something I want to mess given how little I would use it. Thanks, Bob!!
@doublewide67 жыл бұрын
The electric ones are the way to go it you use it less than 4 times a year.

Is it leaking water ANYWHERE? Either from where the water spiket connects to the hose or from where the hoses connects to the pressure washer or from where the hose connects to the gun?

Pump protectant spray is not only for storing your pressure washer it's also a maintenance that should be used at least once a week if you're using your pressure washer daily this will keep your pump cool and also keep from hard water pitting the motor.

So in finding a filler hole for a similar pump. I have the 3 same hex bolts as you have but i have a smaller hex on the side of one. Could that be a filler for mine or should i just fill it the way you did. I unscrewed all the bolts and drips of water came out even from the side screw mentioned. Any help would be greatful. Thanks

I just cut the curve off an Allen wrench to fit the heads on the pressure washer, much quicker. Bonus is that size is pretty much standard for any furniture you buy nowadays.

I have the same unit. Today all it wants to do is make a loud noise and not pump any water out. I'll probably just take it apart to see what I can find (gears, impeller?). Next one will be gas powered...

Hello. I got an old karcher k2.14 wich had some issues. It should be fixed now, but I don't want to turn it on yet, as it lost a lot of oil. Would a car motor 10w40 fully sintetic do? Or does it needs some special one?

@Love2StopHate2395 жыл бұрын
I know the advice I am about to give you is basic. You may have already done these things but I had to start somewhere lol. Have you checked the pump that the clear hose that the detergent thru to be applied to whatever you are washing? Make sure there are no cracks or holes in the hose that you are using. Also make sure that your nosal is in good condition and put on properly. Please let me know if you've tried any of those suggestions already or if any of my suggestions helped you in any way. Thanks so much and good luck.

I can't seem to get those plastic tabs off of my Clean Force 2000 to open it up!?!
@christianfrey79332 жыл бұрын
Yes, I had the same problem. He fails to mention in this video that the tabs are held in by screws directly in front of them on the front side of the pressure washer. Once you take out those screws, tabs will pop right out. It should have been a key part of this video, because without being able to remove the body, then you can’t do anything. Anyway, hope that helps..
