Hi Michael. It was nice to meet you today on Rachel’s stream. I can tell I’m going to learn a lot from you. I’m impressed with the packaging and the customer service you were given. A lot of companies are not so honorable, as you mentioned. I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos.✌️♥️

I am really enjoying your videos Michael. I like your thoughtful, soft spoken analysis. I would request that you boost the microphone input a couple of db. I'm watching on a laptop at full volume, and when I take a bite of my apple - I can't hear you anymore! Keep up the good work.

I am going to have to stop watching your Electric Recording Co. videos 😊. They make me go and check Discogs too much! I was buying audiophile records back in 2012 and saw them start their business so I could easily have bought all their titles. I didn’t because I couldn’t justify the price. Now I wish I had bought a few. I do have Forever Changes as that is my favourite record and has been since 1985. I am debating some of the Jazz titles and I will keep an eye on what they release next. Great video 👍

Drooling over the Tommy Flanagan! I have the AP that sounds fantastic but I’m sure the ERC is amazing!

Great analogy about 1st row/4th row. Bill’s piano is set back in the mix, but that helps the soundstage I think. Unfortunately my copy had surface noise which began on track 2 and carried on throughout. They are sending a replacement disc, so fingers crossed that one is ok.

45 RPM Audiophile The Stereo ERC. It’s my first ERC, so quite disappointing, but I suppose these things happen.

Probably a curve ball but Bill Evan’s Everybody Digs is actually the record that got me into jazz (no, not Kind of Blue lol). I heard the song Young and Foolish in a coffee shop: had to Shazam it, then the rest is history. I just hope I have that pressing of yours. :)

Wow - just superb. Thank you for this. Brilliant analysis. I was unfamiliar with all of these titles except the Evans. This Mahler sounds incredible. I also was unaware of the Flanagan. The drums on that are too good! Terrific. Will be curious to see what ERC puts out next. Enjoy your week and see you soon, my friend.

At £300.00 a pop they should be well packed, it would be interesting to compare the vinyl to the master tapes that are now on offer, but they are £450.00 each from Analogue Productions and the Tape Project.

I also bought the everybody digs Bill Evans on ERC and I received number 10 edition. I do agree with you that this is the best sounding Bill Evans edition of this record by far. Thank God for companies like ERC to produce such a beautiful product for us to enjoy. Again another great video. Keep it up Michael

Fun video Michael. Unrelated question.. is there an online store in Europe that you would recommend to find EU issues of vinyl of all type , not necessarily audiophile vinyl.

Michael, I love your videos and everything you do for the vinyl community, but I do wish you sometimes researched a bit the stuff you‘re talking about - that Tommy Flanagan album is actually called Overseas, not „Over“. The cover is a visual pun with the „OVER“ and the many C‘s… Over-C‘s. It was called Overseas because it was recorded in Europe. I know you are buying so much you can‘t even keep track of it yourself, and I understand that kind of obsession because I‘m like that myself. I admire your ability to speak candidly and without edits, but at least consider double checking things when you edit and maybe adding some captions - for posterity‘s sake, and for the sake of yours truly, a fellow German who talks back at the screen whenever something‘s not quite right 😀

My theory as to why these records are quite expensive is that the workers in the pressing plant are fed Champagne and Caviar and chauffered to and from work in a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud..tee hee!
