Have to say I like the tilt forward cab for access

Just to be completely honest, that thing looks pretty poorly constructed for being a $100k machine. I know the cost associated with innovation is a real thing, but even so this is a very basic machine commanding a high end loader price. I have to think these will not sell particularly well given the price point and the lack of a service infrastructure.

I wouldn't pay more than $40K for that machine.
@michaellauritsen5433 Жыл бұрын
At that price I'll buy a diesel machine and fill it with diesel fuel and make money with it. This will need charged, extra hauling back and forth to shop to charge. This machines life long cost will be way higher than a diesel machine.

Not to mention the battery will cost far more than a diesel overhaul.

I'm surprised lead acid is an option. Yeh the weight is good, but the cycle life isn't great and they don't like deep discharging. Lifepo4 would be the way to go. 2000 cycles, safe, and proven. I have an 11 yr old lifepo4 battery that still doing well, probably near 2000 cycles on it. Lead acid does have a near perfect recycling infrastructure though.

I’m just not there with electric..if I’m running our T590 with a soil conditioner or landscape rake, i have no need to worry about battery run time with the implement..it just doesn’t seem practical for most applications. Good video.

have a feeling you would prefer the electric version of the avanttecno

The hydraulics part of this skid steer is a problem, Bobcat seems to have that under control with electric motors drives, the only fluid I want on my electric rig Is Grease and battery coolant. It will be fun to see who makes the ones that last the longest
@tetradgroup6 ай бұрын
True, the Bobcat is full electric, only problem is the Bobcat is over $300K

As a landscape contractor I wouldn't consider buying one until the operation time was at least 15 hours, 2-8 hours is only good for part time/homeowner use
@KarasCyborg Жыл бұрын
Right. Think of how many times you needed to leave a machine on the job for the next day. If there is no way to charge it, then you are going to be hauling it back home and hopefully you got enough spare capacity on your electrical panel to charge your truck, your dump trailer, and your all electric skids steer, and perhaps your all electric excavator . It's going to create a big headache unless you got a 3-phase 400amp feed to your house.
@alanruechel2240 Жыл бұрын
@@KarasCyborg every company will have to hire a crew to do nothing but charge and swap out dead equipment around the clock, and if the grid has a blackout all crews will get a few days off

Seems like an expensive machine for the run time. Machine that expensive, owners want that thing running as much as possible. And I can’t see this being used in a snow plow application. This is probably good for ca people that don’t do much work anyway
@hectorduran2228 Жыл бұрын
Can I use it for 8 strait hours loading super 10 dump trucks ?
@tetradgroup Жыл бұрын
Loose material loading trucks, probably 6 hours. Hard digging and loading, probably less than 4 hours.

I wonder what charge time is for a full recharge. No way I'd go lead acid...like someone else said, the charge cycles and lead acid batteries can only be run down to 50%. Our 5th wheel rv has a 1300 watt solar system with 4 100ah lithium batteries and Ive had it down to 20% discharge and it took about 6 hours to bring it back to 100% on shore power and while on solar power IN GOOD SUN LIGHT it takes about 4 hours to do a complete recharge from 30% or so. Also wondering what the cost to recharge that thing would be.
@tetradgroup Жыл бұрын
Great question, from what I understand the charger that comes with it will charge in 5 hours on a 220V circuit.

Doesn’t Bobcat have electric loaders they went in on with Sunbelt?
@tetradgroup Жыл бұрын
They have a track loader for sunbelt yes. They just unvailed the rubber tire loader at conexpo available late 2024

As an electrician, I can't imagine a construction company using these. We are going to have to put in a huge temporary electric service to charge the equipment on the job site. Most construction jobs that I am on do not take the equipment back and forth every day. Electric construction equipment is just stupid. In my opinion of course. It may be right for someone.

Kovaco garbage. We had a demo unit, it was built like sh*t from plate steel and hex cap screws, welds were cracking and we didn't even use it, the dash was a cell phone , you needed an account to log in and operate it, it was dangerous to operate as it would do things on its own or become unresponsive, the remote control runs off bluetooth and commands can lag or stick, the charger required distilled water, there is no emergency exit if the loader fails in the raised position. . . Things are a trade school senior project death trap at best

Virtually zero maintenance is appealing.

I looked at one of these to buy for use on my own property. It's an amazing machine but unfortunately its drive system is a ground destroyer. Shame it's not a 4x4x4.

Good to see them working on the technology. But to me the phone and the app are just gimmicks which devalue it. It just declares either (a) you have to upgrade your phone next year to keep going or (b) in five years time this app will become obsolete rendering half the features of your digger unavailable. This is supposed to be a building site machine, not Angry Birds. Just put a bloody proper instrument panel in the machine and stop this nonsense.

$100K?? There are far better diesel options from legacy brands; far cheaper if you go the Indian, Korean, Chinese route.
