Great teaching of the “tack and fit before welding” lesson! Awesome project. It was telling when he moved one-eye out and filled the shop with smog. Thanks for sharing :)

I was so happy to see your new video on electric tractor; only to find out it wasn't yours. Are you still going to work on the tractor in the future videos?
@BenjaminNelsonX2 жыл бұрын
Yes, still working on that project.

Two bolts to unloosen? is that the same as tightening?

Aw dang, it took me a minute to realize you hadn't finished your tractor. Well, in spite of that, great video!

The only issue I can see is the motor and coupler should be fitted to the clutch or gearbox or whatever first and confirmed there is no runout before tightening everything up. It might be fine as is but there could be stresses you can't see. Otherwise loved this video and look forward to the next. 😀 I'd love to replace the noisy thirsty beast in my lawn tractor so really interested to see the costing for this.

Instead of installing ME electric motoe as a source of power for the wheels and cutting deck have you considered using good quality used geared driving axle from mobility scooter or from froor scraper made by CTE from taiwan. They make warious axles . I use CTE 6 24v 25:1 gear ratio axle 900W 10 Nm unit. As for source of power for the deck spindles I will use most likely 220v AC motor with DC to AC converter with ability to AC . The donotr convert 24V to 6000W , The main donor for the mower is Kubota G1860 chassis with steering and front end and deck lifting assy. What U thing. We test drove the riding and goes very well . bestwishes Mark from Poland

An Economy Power King has a Borg Warner car transmission and axle with a bull gear assembly added to each side that also contains the differential brakes. It's made for plowing market gardens. What you are talking about might just be sufficient for a lawn mower.

This will be very economic for someone with high weekly hours. Say a mowing contractor with council. Eliminating most of the noise and not buying fuel.

That is great. I would not mind doing that if it was worth it. This guy replaced a 1960 Engine that has been running for 50+ years. These engine if maintained will run for another 50 past his life time. Wonder how many months that Chinese motor will run? He put in lithium battery what will degrade over 3 years to the point that driving it to the mail box and back will need to be charged again. How will it do cutting grass on a small 3 acres yard 2 times a month during the summer and plowing a driveway in the winter. Those batter lose performance in cold weather. Again a fun project, but nothing more.

A well built motor will last forever and if they used Edison batteries they would last forever also. But even lead acid Is easy enough to restore. Could save alot of time and hassle with electric tractors

I think you're destroying the value of some very interesting and wonderful little historic tractors! If you wanted to do that then do it to some other junk tractors!!! Don't destroy the historic value of those!!! Sell those to somebody who truly appreciates the way they are!!! You must be one of those people who would draw a mustache on the Mona Lisa.
