Cool I hope you are getting some rain. I thought about you Monday as I was disking part of my dove field for planting a 6-way blend. I like to plant about an acre and a half of the upper portion of the dove field for the deer. I didn't prep or mow, I just started disking and it took about three passes to get it the way I wanted it. That is when I thought of you using the tiller. That sure would have made it a lot easier. I've already looked at a couple of tillers on Market place. I like that electric tractor, but I also like my diesel tractors too. Thanks for sharing.

I would guess the diesel PTO will be stronger. Depending on the hydraulic pump the EV front end loader could be stronger also. I guess it depends on your needs as to which one you use more and need more strength in.

Your exactly right on your guesses. The electric would be excellent for loader work, the diesel is my choice for pto work.

Hey you got your food plot planted with no fuel cost and the rain your getting today and tomorrow will give your plot a jump. The electric tractor is doing just what I was thinking doing some work even if you have ZERO gas or diesel but with the over cast days you will be forced to take a couple days off from farming with the solar powered tractor. Nice vid short and to the point

It's definitely not a farming tractor, it's for the occasional use homeowner or hobby farmer. With that said, it got the job done. Loving this rain, we needed it badly.

Neither is a lot of equipment and tractors. What we all think is expensive is relative. I find new trucks and cars absurd and for wealthy people. Most would disagree with me as they own, or I should say finance these things.

@@TKCL I agree I have a 2012 F350 D the seals were leaking but it only has 135K miles. I had my Mech replace all belts, hoses, vucume lines and a New radiator and long with a few other things I can't talk about LOL but a new one would have cost me close to 100K after taxes. I follow Dave R so i would have to pay cash so I'm going to drive it till the wheels fall off. If you look and search you can find equipment and Tractors that are slightly use for decent prices especially if you stay under the 100 horse power. Equipment you can rebuild as long as it's not bent up. You will find people that thought they wanted to weekend farmers but then decided it was easier to just buy it from the store because farming ant all it's cracked up to be on some you tube channels LOL

I am curious about the life expectancy of the batteries and cost replacement - those two factors will influence my impressiveness of this tractor. It did do a nice job tilling, but awfully slow compared to the diesel.

10 years is common for lithium. No idea on availability of spare batteries at that time. It's a good question.

Nathan I don't see your logic there. Your telling me everyone running lithium batteries in cold areas don't get two years out of them? If that's the case lithium solar wouldn't work, trolling motor batteries, RV batteries, AA batteries ect all wouldn't work in cold climates. That's not the case, the only thing that you have to watch is charging in extreme cold. You've also missed the memo I've said over and over again that I'm simply testing this unit for this company. I'm not selling you one and I've stated over and over that I prefer diesel.

I'm interested in one of these. The only big question I have at this point is. Does it have a heater for the batteries for extreme cold clients? I haven't found anything about it so far. i know it hasn't come out yet but if you could let me know i'd apperacate it. thanks !

I'd wager that it is at least $20k more than a comparable diesel tractor. I good be wrong but man those batteries are expensive. How many KW is that battery?

17kwh. My guess is it's a little less of a markup than that. We should find out in the next 2-3 months.

@@TKCL If it uses LFP batteries, they run around $250 per KWh, so that's around $4250 in batteries. The electric motor costs a lot less than a Diesel, so I would expect overall price parity, but the manufacturer will probably try to cover their R&D costs, so parity may not happen for a few more years.

GADZOOKS you couldn't even tell the tiller dug into the ground so far until you tamped your foot in there!! Too smooth on top for depth perception Impressive is an understatement! How long was the tractor on the charger?

I usually let it charge over night, so I am not sure how long. It also matters at what percentage is remaining before charging. I put it on at all different levels.

No, it revs up and down with the tractor RPM.

It can't die on you without you forcing it to die. It goes into a limp mode at 20 percent telling you to get back and charge it. You can go a long way on 20 percent.
