Glad you figured it out! Really looking forward to seeing this going down the road. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Well old friend, it seems you have more faith in me than I have in myself, and as always, you offer sage advice. Thanks for the offer of a donation, but if I can't find what I need I may have to make one, or have it made. The one I have that uses the wider chain only cost $15, so if I can find what I want I don't expect it to cost a lot of money. Thanks again.

Solid there my friend. You are a straight up guy. So...bass akwards eh? Yep! Been there be there again! Good work and I subbed to frugal prepper because of you saying he had some good videos. Keep trying there my friend

Thanks for your advice, and I may well wind up doing what you suggest. For testing, though, it's gonna be bicycle chain so I can use the sprocket cassette and derailleur to change gears. If the chain can't handle the stress I'll need a new plan. Thanks again.

Once I get it working I'm gonna drive it to Louisiana! Well, maybe not, but it'd be fun to try if I could arrange the time. When I was young I used to ride bicycles a lot. I once took a trip from Boston to Quebec. It took 4 days. Another time I rode from Boston to Vermont and helped some friends of mine build a log cabin.

If you want an advice from someone who had the chance to see the use of bicycle chains with a wheelchairs motor in two different applications. I highly recommend a stronger grade of chains and sprocket. Even if the basic motor goes at 120 rpm. It’s because of the torque that small motor offers. With time the chain will break when you least expected. For safety double de chains.

Thanks for the shout out! That thing looks like it's got some real torque, you can overcome the slower RPM with gearing. For the sprocket you may check on livefastmotors dotcom

We use them. Excellent.

Oh Wow! I knew if you waited, you would get the answer!!! Frustration almost always means, Wait a minute! Stop, find out what's really the next thing to do. LOL I'm really happy for you. One more lesson learned, so you got some new information too. I think that's great. One more solution for the brain matter to store. Is the Jack shaft? hard to find, or purchase? I would be happy to donate towards getting one. And the project continues.... ta ta ta taa. Tension, suspense, tune in next time 4 ??

Quick question - how did you energize the brake? I know on some of the motors, both of the brake pins are same color. So it would be useful to know which is negative and positive. Please let me know. Thanks

9 times out of 10 they are coloured. But if not it does not matter on a pollarity side of things

Hi just wondering if you made any progress on your motorized bike?
@jwwm28 жыл бұрын
+m715fm I had to shelve the project because I ran out of money, and I've since moved. I gave the 4 wheel bike away when I moved.
