Thanks for this vid! Found out the whole body harness zip tied deeeeeep in the dash had to be swapped for an oem wiring swap. So this method is really the way to go for 99-02. Unless you buy the Amazon kit I don't think you need a relay for this tbh. Just a fused run of 16 awg wire sent to each door's green wire. The chevy window switches have internal relays For those struggling getting passenger side to work - Terminal G (driver side black ground wire) has to be grounded at as good a point with the fat passenger ground wire.

​@@Lucas-sy1hn i had this problem i believe. i grounded the 2 doors at the same point at first. Cant remember the wire size difference. Used a Dewalt battery for testing. Double check your grounds. Strip the metal and the terminal, screw it down tight

At 7:50 the yellow wire connecting to the green wire of the switch, where is the yellow wire coming from? Is it coming from the relay? Is it the one that had the black sleeve that was conected to the relay ?

Appreciate you making this video 🙏 it helped me out. But was stuck at the end not having the passenger door switch work. You forgot to add the step where you run 12volt power to the green wire on the passenger door switch to power the window motor. Other then shit worked great

Terminal G (driver side black ground wire) has to be grounded at the same point with the fat passenger ground wire. I took 2 dewalt batteries and played around with a wiring diagram for 2 nights 😂 Edit: the Gnd on the dewalt battery only had to be the same for testing. Just make sure the Gnd is on solid bare metal when you install it 👍

what he did was only for the windows, if u want your doors to lock and unlock you would have to install an after market kit

You can do it, just need the underdash harness. With the correct one, it'll all be plug and play and oem. No wiring needed. Just gotta look up the info for your year. Some trucks are prewired and make it plug n play from the jump. But do some research and you will find what you need.

Yup, I got a donor Tahoe and I'm getting the pin out for the donor Tahoe as well as the original vehicle door switch pigtail... Just find where the wires go on the original harness and match it up

Would have been easier and cheaper to just buy the same color doors off a Tahoe suburban Silverado and just swap doors 2 bolts and the harness from new doors plug right in under the dash
