Super cool to see you with this guitar! I have the same, mine is a 1987 same color, all original. When I saw Matt using it I was so happy haha, but of course with the original pickups is a different guitar, classic vintage SG sound, later I learned mine came with Tim Shaw PAF. I hope you keep posting videos with these beauty!

You can have a pedal board filled with 10 Berringers for the price of the original Boss Superfuzz. Anybody who says they can clearly see the difference between these clones and the original are being disingenuous. They're just amazing. I wish there was good, cheap gear when I was a kid.

They probably do hear a difference but it's all in their head because hearing is a subjective sense. Just having expectations is enough to change what you hear.

If there is a difference, it's very slight. In that video comparison I made of them years ago, they were basically identical. That was really the only time I compared them side-by-side.

Hey man. Any opinions on using a wound G string? I've been testing it out lately and i dig it. More tuning stability but a little tougher to bend. Thoughts on it, ever try it?

I use both. The guitar in this video has a wound G. I prefer the playability of a plain G but wound G’s have better tone and tuning stability. B-Standard and lower I generally use a wound G. C-standard and higher I use a plain.

I think I quad tracked the guitars on this one. 4x12 cab and 2x15 cab. Cut a little low end and added some light compression in post.
