That was a very interesting video very neat and tidy. You don’t see that very often. Thanks for sharing it with us. Look forward to many more.

And yes, good point... a lot of modern inverters can go into 'island' mode and backfeed even with no grid supply present. And I trained in 1989, god i feel old... And i heard a fluke volt stick there in the background. I know i am preaching to the choir, but NEVER EVER assume it's dead if it doesn't light. I literally stripped a 6mm T&E in a roof space, it didn't light up even on single insulated red.... but snip BANG, they RELY on you being earthed to work. I now carry a proving unit on my belt and an oldschool drummond MTL-7 incandescent filament test lamp (GS38 probes) on my belt. Also what you found at 8:19 was a fledgling downlight

Why didn’t you put the board up higher, that would be easier for the householder, and ease the problem with the short cables?

Fun story, we're doing a rewire, colleague found some 'half inch lead gas light' pipes under the floor in the living room.... he was about to snip them for scrap. Me: STOP....they were the 2 single core PILC incomers... LMAO (this is common in our area, gosport, southern hampshire)

LOVE the attention to detail, and don't fret so much about consumer unit 'dressing', people like to do 'this is how you do a cu'.... just think of the next guy, it's not miss world, if an earth wire goes diagonally, its not the end of the world

Circuit description written sideways I don't think so it looks terrible that's not on rest of the job good but not sure about the flexi conduits could have been done better with normal trunking
