can i use DI/DO module attached to s7 317-2 PN/DP and set output through the DI port of DI/DO module instead via PLC?

Basically no, not regular do module, you have to use the CPU 'PTO' output. The regular do can not do high frequency, and it will cause your step motor has to run very slow or miss the speed command.

It is really not quite matter of the specs of the step motor. The critical path is the PLC + Step driver.
