But overall the EQS or Lucid Air are not the most aerodynamic production cars ever made as the clip above suggest at 5:49 because that record is jointly held by other 2 much older cars : 1996-1999 GM-EV1 and the phenomenally weird, Europe-only Volkswagen XL1, (produced from 2013 up to 2016) both had similar drag coefficient -0.186..

I like both electric cars and ICE type. Both have their advantages and disadvantages and that includes their carbon foot print and or how certain materials were extracted to make up parts of the car. Having said that, I think we have a use for both in the same world. Battery powered cars could be used for everyday usage and leave heavy hauling to diesel trucks. There is a reason why diesel is chosen over gas for heavy lifting. I don't think electric has a chance on long heavy hauls. Going up a 10-14% grade hill with heavy load, I'm sure the battery pack and or controller, would overheat in no time. For the diesel engine, that would just be a walk in the park. Where it might brake is anywhere behind the engine ie transmission, transfer case, differential gears etc. That's where the electric motor excels due to less amount of gears. Maybe have a diesel/electric assist long haul vehicle? Good video by the way. I'd like to own one but I'm done driving long distances. Managed to drive 30k km in 5 years. Also wouldn't like the assholes that love to key the electric cars, as seen on Wham Bam Tesla Cam channel. Why people would do shit like this?

@@channel1_channel they're not that rare, except for cobalt which Tesla's older batteries have a tiny amount, and they already have batteries with no cobalt. The rest of the materials are plenty. Nickel is the rarest and even that is plentiful as well, and even so, with JB Straubel's battery recycling technology it will be a closed loop, so no more mining.

@@mehrdadhassanabadi3391 I did not claim they are rare. That said, at a "power the planet" scale there may be issues. There are going surely going to massive problems over mining moving forward. With talk of mining Greenland and other places the shit show may only be just beginning: kzbin.info/www/bejne/paKQqmB9abmGjaM

Lol gas cars been running lower than 8s for decades .if they make a ev that’s affordable to the average middle class person and it runs 9s then MAYBE it might be the end for gas.ppl forget the plaid is 130k

Thank you for the video, I actually learned more about the Plaid and Tesla's batteries than I expected. Also, I think everyone here who's hating on it is because they know they will never in their life be able to afford one.

I like the black bonnet and how it flows through to the back. Is that a wrap you added? I have a red Model 3 coming and it also would look great in two-tone.
