she is so cute, Hamelin is really a very very lucky guy - I know I did not have to say that - what passion of support for her beau - and I thought real love was dead - I had many tears erupt just simply watching her - her support for Hamelin has got to be the best Olympic moment for Vancouver 2010 - Bravo Marianne! I was inspired by watching you rooting for Charles - God bless you.

When I'm watching this again (for the 1000th time), when that final lap bell sounds, I can feel the tension and excitement all over again. To be watching a gold medal performance had to of been up there with watching a stanley cup final or a world series. Actually I think this is better. I don't think there are moments in any hockey game that are as intense as this entire race. *except for the entire Gold medal hockey game 2010. Probably the most intense contest I have ever seen!

This is one of my favorite moments of the whole games! They are so sweet! Congrats to them on their medals! Apollo won enough anyway and maybe he cheated in every race like he tried in the 500m! If he wasn't so arrogant, maybe we'd have a little more sympathy for him!

I was watching the same video (reply and all) you were and I never saw or heard Sung say that, let alone him talking so I cant comment at that. Yes, he did slip originally, and regained it and Hamelin, however light, did made contact and he fell. Ohno had his hand on that guys hip, but to me, didnt push. He fell regardless and Ohno was DQ. The contact in both cases were slight and unintentional. I agreed that Ohno should be and I felt that Hamelin should have been too.

In regards of the cheating accusation, any suggestions of the cheating is coming only from your own views, not mine. The games ended Feb 28th but this race itself almost month ago, give or take a week or two.

I'm American, but I do have mixed feelings about this race. Rules regarding overtaking skater is person doing overtaking, is held responsible if he/she cause fall by contact so based on that rule, then understandable Ohno was DQed. However, Hamelin made contact with Sung and he fell just afterwards so I feel that he should have been DQed as well. No bitterness here, however, I feel that Hamelin won because he was not DQed as he should have been.

@longliverocknroll5 Oh? I think a combination of the announcer, the crowd and the race got me completely pumped the whole race. Same with a lot of the events, like ski cross and board cross. After watching any Canadian win these events, I wouldn't care how they celebrated. Take that Jon Montegomery guy (I think that's his name) walking down the streets and a random person handing him a pitcher of beer, how sick is that!

To USN1985dos: I would like to congratulate your country on your 2500 Olympics medals. All well deserved accomplishments. Considering the USA out populates Canada by about 300 million people, I would say that Canada's 404 medals is an esteemed accomplishment. It's funny, when Americans are boastful about their country it is chalked up to national pride. Why is is "cocky" when Canadians share their pride and enthusiasm? There is difference between deliberate cheat and unintentional. I believe both contacts were not done with intent to cause the other racers to fall. So no, again, my accusation of the word cheat is based on your own view. Yes, I dont care because this is past, however, I enjoy having rational and mature debate on international events such as this.

49% a lui seul il ne faut pas exagerer. Le relais courte piste feminin, le hockey (homme et femme), la poursuite masculine ont ete l'effort d'athletes de diverses provinces. Plus Jenn Heil et Clara Hughes vivent au Quebec, mais n'en sont pas originaires (Spruce Grove et Winnipeg) "A lui seul", le Quebec a recolete 7 medailles, et il a participe a 4 autres pour un total de 11, soit 42%, qui est quand meme tres bien.

Hmm no, he fell down after he touched him and he fell, as well as his foot kicked out Sung's arm which made it worse. Ohno was DQed for the same amount so I think Hamelin should have been DQed as well.

Guess you haven't heard of JTF2 pal. Obviously the US forces are bigger. You spend so much of your money on wars and weapons, you'd better damn well have a huge army. Joint Task Force two is one of the most respected and highly trained special operation forces on the planet. Not that Delta or the SEALs aren't good...but word is even those guys have nothing but respect for the Canadian special forces guys
