I so admire the character of these faithful warriors! The price they have paid certainly earns my respect. I appreciate this pilot taking the time to tell his story.

I can't imagine the adrenaline rush one would get flying a high performance aircraft in a combat situation and yet it seems like in every interview the pilots exhibit a calm demeanor as though it was just a ho-hum day at the office. That never ceases to amaze me. They are all heroes in my book. (MSgt, ANG, retired)

1:39 court grants divorce. He didn’t respond to divorce petition within 30 days. He didn’t respond because he was in the POW camp. They sent a copy of the divorce petition to Hanoi but he never got it. What a way to treat an American warrior. Sad 😢 😞 😡

I’m told it’s faster and more stable down low than the F15. Purely anecdotal from someone with experience in high performance aircraft.
@gort82039 ай бұрын
As far as speed the F-15 is limited to 800 KCAS (clean) while the F-105 was limited to 810 KCAS. This is a structural limitation even though the airplanes have enough thrust to exceed it at low altitude. I wouldn't be at all be surprised that the 105 felt more stable in the part of the flight envelope for which its design was optimized. It had much higher wing loading and I wouldn't be surprised if it was also endowed with greater static longitudinal stability.

If I'm correct it is the largest single-engine fighter ever built?

Yes

@@umesh01patel53I seem to recall from an episode of Wings of the Red Star that there was an even larger one. It’s the Tupolev Tu-28, but I also think it was an interceptor - does that count? I could just ask the Goog, yet here we are 😂😂 Cheers!
