Daymak Chameleon Video Review

electricriderev... The Daymak Chameleon is an electric scooter with integrated solar panels on the optional rear storage box (~14 Watts) and multi-color LED accent lights. One of the quickest scooters I've tested, the motor is relatively quiet but delivers better torque and speed than other similar products I've reviewed even though they have the same motor and battery ratings. Compatible with an Android/iOS smartphone app for adjusting top speed, power output climbing ability and more. Successfully crowd funded through Indiegogo, available in three colors, comes with a remote for locking, setting an alarm or starting the bike, mixed warranty of 1 year frame+motor and 6 months battery and components.

I have one since last year.Very impressed with this bike.The best way to ride is use the paddles for feet rest instead of resting feet on body.

I notice you have come to BC a few times for reviews, but haven't looked at the Motorino products. They are based in Vancouver and make both electric bikes and scooters. I would be so interested to see you review these, as the hype indicates they are high quality products but I really want to see an objective review. Any chance you will be looking at Motorino?

@@EdwardRonquillo In short, the answer is no. An ebike is considered a motor vehicle under the CMVSS, but not the Ontario Highway Traffic Act. I've been getting away with riding an ebike 60 km/h-plus, but that's because I'm white, it's a bicycle rather than a scoot, and because I make sure to "pedal" once I'm over 32 (because the law says 32 km/h _"unassisted on flat, level ground"_ so you're allowed to go faster if you pedal, go down a hill, etc.). If you want a legit electric scooter, the easiest way will be to buy a gas scoot with an ownership, safety and plate it, and then swap to electric. If you have a plate and insurance, what would a cop really say to you? Cheers.

I like how scooter people act like $2000 is free. I just bought an old Subaru Baja for $2000. I can put $1000 in it and drive it for another 100,000 miles. And on a highway too. And actually commute. Visit other states, etc.

They call it "speed control". It usually sets the motor power at 80%, 100% and 110% respectively, but some are programmed to other levels, so be careful.

heres he scoop I got one from the October 2015 indegogo offering I received it in march it didn't have any of the rope lighting or the solar box ,it came to me without a drive chain which you only need if you think you can peddle it .also missing the cover for over the batteries and the charger this is how my experience was turning out so far ,then I have been riding this piece of shit ,I'm just saying this about how it handles ,its shakey and scarey you would want to be a experienced supercross driver to wrestle the front end in a trail or a side road of gravel .I have never drove something that is so dangerous in a e bike or scooter than this bike .then if nothing else could go wrong it does ,so they put two extra batteries in this unit ,this unit was a cheap ass Hamilton 60v that they tweaked but forgot to fix the voltage spike the Chinese had put 60v converters to 12 volt for the lights and blinkers an everything else .but they didn't upgrade converter to 84volt ?what you think happened almost killed in a accident where I had no brake lights or blinkers and my alarm and key fob stuff burnt out the company in Toronto is negligent in letting these machines out with a under rated voltage regulator and I hope someone sues these fuks

These are pointless in Alberta let alone most places in Canada....speed limit is 50 minimum on most roads in any city...bike does 32....wanna piss people off during rush hours?...drive this...can't go on sidewalks...that's a ticket there.
