This is the first comment i've put on youtube. hopefully it gets some traction... I've owned an eagle pro for almost 4 months with over 1200 miles on it. The stem did not wobble until about 800 miles but I took it into the shop and a correct tool tightens that right back up. I will be the FIRST to say it surely DOES NOT take 9 seconds to reach 30mph. I'm 6'2 185 lbs. I'd say its more like 6-7 seconds with a push from the start. The speedometer reads up to 42mph on flat roads if you crouch into a aerodynamic posture reaching up to 48 on my best run on a downhill. The suspension is the best thing ever. I live in jersey city and I've gone over speed bumps at 40mph with zero problems. the way the scooter sticks to ground feels like a sports car truly. Keep the brakes decently clean to limit the squeaking as well.
@orhantoy36703 жыл бұрын
Hi Jordan. I could not understand one thing. Could you clear that eventhough eagle pro has 1.8 times more powerful motor than zero10X, how can not eagle pro beat zero10X in hill climb test. I think eagle pro should have beaten the others with its 3600W motor with much more difference. otherwise eagle pro's motor nominal power is much more less than its tech specs on the website.
@orhantoy36703 жыл бұрын
I researched and found out. On the contrary that eagle pro's power is 3600W motor, it has 1000W x 2 = 2000W motor power like the zero10X. It does just differ the batteries and suspensions. The motor specifications are the same. Dualtron's tech spects are just marketing strategy. :((

I haven’t seen any good reviews on the eagle pro. I was going to make one till I saw this one. Some of my observations. I’ve had mine for 6 weeks. The adjustability in the modes is great. From 5 mph to 40. My whole area is filled with hills. Pretty steep ones. I’ve had this scooter over 50 mph downhill. That was fast enough. In dual mode I have plenty of power to get up every hill. I get about 35 miles per charge. I usually ride hard and with the hills the scooter gets pushed hard. It is very smooth and you can feel the tires contact the road. Big enough to be really stable but really agile as well. I have no stem wobble and no head creek. I’ve seen online how to tighten the head/neck and I’ve heard sometimes they are not tight all the way from the factory. Brakes don’t seam to squeal anymore. The front a bit but I use it much less then the back. As far as upgraded brakes. I’m not sure, you already have to lean back bend your knees cause you going to stop hard. Can’t imagine grabbing the front with hydraulic brakes. Seriously grab the front hard downhill you could go over. Overall I would definitely recommend this scooter. Plenty of power and a great ride. I don’t know if it can be beat in its price range.

Thanks for the additional info. I'm considering one of these but stem wobble is something is that is a deal-breaker for me. I appreciate that you mentioned that. When you say that once you have a properly adjusted and there is no stem wobble, would you describe it as rock solid or confidence inspiring? It completely ruins the riding experience for me when I can feel the stem shifting under heavy acceleration or braking. I'm a pretty athletic 46 but that's very different than an athletic 26 and I just want something to hang on to when I drop the hammer.
@Mark-qm1il3 жыл бұрын
@@Captain_Kickass-l1f My scooter arrived with no stem wobble. There is a special tool needed to adjust it. If you search you will find it and a video here on KZbin. I would say it’s as tight as can be from a stem that is foldable. It never gave me any concerns while riding. If I hit the brakes hard going downhill you can feel the pressure from your own weight being placed on the bars and or stem. But not an issue. Honestly when I first got the scooter the power in dual mode got my attention more than anything else. Now it’s all good. Just more power then I thought at first. But it’s all adjustable. Honestly I don’t think you could ask for more in a scooter unless you are seriously power hungry. The size of the tires and being air tires really grip the road and you can feel them. My guess is you will be more then happy with this purchase as I am. Also I’m 52. Spent a lot of time on 2 wheels.

Most everyone has ridden a 10 speed and they don't have hydraulic brakes. I grew up in the 80's with regular padded brakes doing 50-65 on my 21 speed going downhill. Anticipate the corner, slight lean in, tap the brakes and shoot out of it. No hydraulics needed. Too much hype around it. For cars absolutely. You and what you are riding? No. Wore a bike helmet too never needed a motorcycle helmet. SMH.

Being a scooter dealer, We have noticed adding white grease to the joining stem joints removes the creeping sound, Just make sure to lock down tightly the hex bolts. What happens is people tighten them down to limit the stem play and then you got metal rubbing on metal internally. Eagle pro, Is a great scooter with very smooth Acceleration and changes of speed. The other thing is, Platform rides a little lower to the ground giving confident to riders at higher speeds.

I still love my Eagle Pro. Awesome, effective and quiet suspension. Great and smooth acceleration. Easily get to about 55 kmh. Keeps up with Montreal traffic no problem. Only caveat is Mayor Plante wants electric scooters off the streets and bike paths. A lot of cities are resistant but, with time, will come to accept e-scooters as a viable alternative to car traffic. I love it to get to the subway station from my home (about 2.5 km). One full charge basically handles a work week of two-way commuting. Keeps the wear and tear to a minimum for my Kia Soul EV 2019 - and I minimize the adjacent car-door dinks and plastic bumper damage from public parking.

I've got no qualms with the Eagle Pro. Having purchased it for $1600 secondary market with only 131 miles on it I have found an Eagle Pro to hit the sweet spot for me. For my weight the top speed is around 37 mph. For now that seems like a good speed for short bursts. While normally I maintain 25 mph cruising speed. Getting a little older so I know the value of life and how we heal a little bit more slowly. 😁 I met another Dualtron Rider who has the Thunder 2 and he mentioned how he rarely goes over 40 miles per hour. I have maxed out all my settings so nothing is saved no regenerative brakes, no battery saves etc which pretty much depletes my mileage to about 20-25 miles in real world testing. I feel sore after doing 18 miles so this scooter is enough for me for recreational use. Now I'm looking one for my wife she's hooked. 👍 Edit: $1600 NOT $2600. 🤣

@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide3 жыл бұрын
Easiest way to cross-check performance of any scooters we've tested: electric-scooter.guide/comparisons/electric-scooter-performance-tests/ The Eagle's got zippier acceleration and has a 8 mph faster top speed, but not quite as effective at braking. Both the Eagle and OXO have rubber suspension, which is the best in the biz. The Eagle's going to have some audible creaks (not too much wobble) with the traditional swingarm style folding mechanism, where the OXO feels really rock solid and makes zero noise. The Eagle's also got folding handlebars and a bit more going on in the cockpit where the OXO's pretty streamlined (not folding handlebars). Hope this helps!

DT2 owner with the folding handlebars option. So pretty much the eagle just without the stem lighting and a bit smaller battery. The creaking is the folding handlebars. The stem wobble DOES get worse over time. Easily adjusted out but needs regular adjustment. The creaking handlebars haven't changed in 2000km of riding and tbh i'm not bothered by it, have considered getting some sort of silicoje lubricant or something maybe. Brakes squeaking is just the pads, they can be replaced or the brakes adjusted. I found the back brake wears out faster than the front even tho i use the front more. I attribute this to the otherwise excellent mudguard angling spray and grit from the road onto the rotor, the grit sticking to the rotor and wearing the pads even when i'm not using them. Waterproofing! There is only one place where water ingress takes place: right wyere the front wheel throws spray up into the wheel arch. The cables go into the scooter from the stem right behind this cover. Sealing up the cover with some silicone sealant is all i needed to do to ride with confidence in the rain. It's my commute. I ride it 30km a day 5 days a week and i would swear by this scooter. 65km/h(40mph) no sweat. Also, I think one of the P settings is for "slow start" so you might get some better acceleration figures out of it.
