I have both. Booster GT wins by miles. - Light 2's stem wobbles when folded down as it's not fixed to back. The sharp edge of stem also cuts into your hand when carrying, and it's not so comfy. - It takes longer to fold and unfold Light 2, especially the handle bar where you had to unscrew both sides. It's very easy on GT, press button, pull and fold. - Light 2's front break cable kept rubbing against the wheel and unless tied down can get damaged - Light 2's back mudguard is a recipe for disaster, so easy to step on and get destroyed - Light 2's handle bar height is NOT adjustable, despite appearing so - Whilst in controlled lab tests Light 2 appears to have shorter break distance, the GT's thumb break is just so much more accessible and in a REAL emergency, allows quicker access without letting go half of the handle bar to reach for break. And stepping on the mudguard helps you stop instead of breaking it. - For uphill roads, Booster GT absolutely smokes Light 2 - Booster GT is just faster in general, but with a more abrupt acceleration. Inokim's acceleration is more gentle (and slower) - The only redeemping features of Light 2 (comparing to booster GT), are the smaller size when folded, and pneumatic tires that's slightly more comfy during rides - Booster GT is front wheel drive, Light2 is backwheel drive, just to note

My advice is not to buy any upgrade kit just wait for the dual motor edition to official come from the manufacture.

I believe you need to retest range on the GT - there's clearly something wrong! I've owned the GT 2020 since it was launched and have ridden hundreds of miles on it. Not once have I ever gotten less than 20 miles of real world range. My best is 23 miles of actual riding at max speed whenever the opportunity presented itself (which is always > 50% of the total trip). The scooter is powerful yes, but it also has the industry best regenerative braking. The company has repeatedly stated that it has the capability to recapture up to 40% of energy back. I only use this to brake and it clearly helps. I've engaged it down a quarter mile steep slope and it added 10% indicated charge back into the battery.

Don’t know why Uscooter web site states the GT 2020 range can go up to 31 miles. I’d seen other reviews on KZbin on the GT 2020 and they got a maximum range of only 18 miles. The questionable maximum miles on this scooter is why I’m hesitant on buying it.

I chose the booster gt at last cause I don't wanna change the tyres and it has suspension. Been thinking between these two for a long time.
@robertbritt31294 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you want suspension so ride means something too you. Only get the solid tires if ride quality and cornering mean nothing too you. Suspension is a joke if you don't have pneumatic tires and you go for solid than you only care about going a mile and only care about never getting flat. If you have any wants beyond that including leisure rides you need regular tires like all other things on the road bikes to trucks.
@_Digitalguy4 жыл бұрын
Robert Britt that's just your opinion that you are trying to impose like an absolute truth, see mine by the way below in response to your comment... ride quality on the GT is quite good a much better than for instance the M365 with pneumatic tyres and no suspensions. The GT solid tyres are of high quality soft rubber, not the hard plastic you find in budget scooters...

@@_Digitalguy Can you describe the differences between the GT and M365? I currently have an M365 and am thinking about upgrading to the GT or the Apollo City. Obviously, the City is much heavier, but ideally I want enough speed/acceleration that's not too uncomfortable to ride. That's my worry with the GT.

Light 2 has a balance of features that make it better than Booster GT in several ways for me. For reference I am 6'1, 190lbs and often carry a backpack with tools. It's low & wide platform make it very stable and comfortable cruising. I have space between my size 11 boots while riding and can initial carving almost like a skateboard with feet staggered, or can have both feet parallel, which Booster cannot provide. Dual drum brakes with hand levers over thumb win for me, and it stops 5 ft sooner than GT with best in class braking. That is very important when riding in NYC I ride bikes and motorcycles here and have avoided all manner of things. I ride in light rain and didn't want solid tires for that reason. Acceleration 0-15 is the same as GT which is the most important part for me since most bike traffic goes around that. 0-18/19 is faster than 0-20 specs suggest. Smoother acceleration is great for pedestrian areas. - Inokim can be thru LOCKED, for shopping or visit to a museum etc, no other ultra-portable has that feature. - I added a carry handle and the weight is balanced - I am 6'1, and handlebars close to belly button provide better leverage as opposed to slightly higher GT - My hands are almost 6" further apart than on GT and can reach the integrate bell which I prefer over the GT horn - I don't feel secure when riding at speed with narrower handlebars so big win for Light 2 - Handlebars have space for phone mount, accessories or grocery bag - I can bring it on the subway and it fits between my with handlebars at front so I rarely unscrew them - Folded Booster is longer and narrower, for me the length of Light 2 is better for storage - I prefer build quality and looks of Inokim, GT throttle and mudguards feels cheap in comparison - Light 2 can sometimes be purchased for less than GT Cons: - Booster climbs better, and gets to 20 mph faster with higher top speed - Booster has suspension, though some is offset by the solid wheels. - Booster folds narrower and slightly easier

Traction is independent on contact patch size and rather dependant on weight. So weight matters contact patch size doesnt...but at that contact point a variable that does matter is the compound of your tire and its traction profile. Solid tires have very poor traction so please only consider if flat tires are your worst nightmare and nothing else matters.
@_Digitalguy4 жыл бұрын
Solid tyres are not all equal. The orginal back wheel of the etwow scooter was hard plastic, like on a non electric scooter and it was pretty bad and not safe on wet grounds... Now they use a much softer rubber that can be used even on wet ground if you don't ride too fast... Personally I find it the best compromise. And when it rains heavily I have a boosted rev which great tyres for that...

@georgieman19102 жыл бұрын
@@freedeeztallbikes82 Lol you’re hilarious. Why would using thumb throttles sacrifice your entire grip? It sounds more like a you problem than an issue with the throttles. You have TWO hands first and foremost and you can always grip CLOSER to the center of the steering stem for more control as opposed to a wide grip. Try it sometime and you will see it is very secure and very comfortable. When I steer the eTwow my grip is almost wrapped around the center where the display readout is. Trigger grips force a wide grip and they are uncomfortable to the hands and wrist, possibly leading to carpal tunnel syndrome. I also have a Dualtron and it strains my hand and fingers when I use it because I’m constantly holding my wrist in an L shaped horizontal position with the index finger out. It’s not the same as riding a motorcycle where your fingers and hands are aligned with the rest of your arm. In terms of ergonomics, thumb throttles make the most sense. Look at how game controllers are made, dude. Notice how they are made to be controlled with our thumbs. Even with the buttons for the index finger you will notice it is used vertically, like a pistol grip. Not horizontal. This is far less stressful overall to the hand. Lastly, your stance is also important to stability. Standing erect like a piece of wood is less motile and flexible as opposed to bending your legs with heels up.
