It seems like people simply get spoiled with all of the technology. Yet they fail to remember how far this technology has come in the last four or five years. I just turned 59 and have been riding for exactly one year now and I am completely ecstatic and simply doing backflips at how incredibly fun this hobby is! I feel so lucky to be alive and healthy at my age and being able to partake in the experience of ripping around on an electric unicycle. I literally haven't had this much fun in over 20 years! ❤❤ thanks for all your great and informative videos Marty.

I'm in great admiration of their patience. There have been a few who take time out of their day to criticize specific members of Nosfet, and rather than critique their manufacturing choices, they go for their KZbin presence and (speculatively) their personal character. Those are the ones that irk me. I appreciate your feedback with them, pointing out areas of concern that have actually come to require attention. THAT's that good feedback that Nosfet need to prosper!

I think many of us went through years of dropping thousands on wheels that had issues in the past and we just get tired of it. Like the fact that we are on the 4th version of the master and 3rd of the MP. All of which never really had a proper suspension. This makes those of us very skeptical, especially when we see issues arise with the suspension on the test model of the APEX. Hopefully, they are releasing a solid product so that they will thrive in the EUC market.

I think it's the fact it's getting hate is due to coming into the market and lacking 2 very popular features: Seat and a trolley handle. Even the small Mten4 made people immediately put a trolley handle on it despite it being so light to just carry. It really is a must and limits what you can do and go with this wheel. It's kinda like a new automobile company would release an EV to compete with Tesla by having equal specs, but the cars were convertibles. It's just feels... kinda tone-deaf. I do hope Nosfets learns from this and just goes crazy, doing something that nobody else is doing instead of trying to copy Veteran (like everyone else)

@PEVPOV5 күн бұрын
I'm a little confused on both your video and Matt's video asking for less negative views. It kind of feels like a plea from Nosfet. So why the hate? 1) We've only seen overwhelmingly negative content around the wheel. There's Hours of vocal complaints and negative experiences around the wheel with basically no opposing positive supporting views apart from you guys saying it felt awesome for the first few miles before breaking, and Jack promising the flaws are fixed. 2) $3500 is not an insignificant amount of money, so people expect a product that lasts more than 50 miles before major teardowns or serious preventative maintenance is required. When compared to competitors In a similar price range, the lynx is out of the box ready for anything and requires little to no maintenance ever. If something does go wrong the shocks are off the shelf products you can drop in and change lb springs quickly. The Xway has Begode's 10 years of firmware development behind it, and scaled operations that can support riders warranty claims. How will Nosfet support warranty claims? Are there actual after market shocks that fit the wheel? we've heard from matt the air shock is inconsistent and th coil shock doesn't work. What levels of maintenance are really required? Most people do not want to spend hours on frustrating maintenance just for a good ride feel. Is the suspension travel really 150m like they claim? No trolley handle, no seat capability. I've never posted anything negative about the wheel but I imagine these are some of the questions I would want to know the answer too before I would consider buying a Nosfet wheel over the competitors.

You know, I don’t get why people don’t realize. When you ride a bike on trails or race.. people have to continually clean and check parts but we ride “1” wheel!! And it’s held together by screws and plastic and linkage that if you want it to ride nice… you have to have a scheduled maintenance. That and if you go and hit it hard !!! Your gonna have to check it afterwards and if your not and it breaks, the reason is that your not maintaining your wheel, not how the wheel was made… it just amazes me how people don’t in a lot of situations realize that it’s not gonna be a Volvo station wagon!!!scenario when purchasing a euc… they are specialized battery powered vehicles… and it you want to keep riding safe, you have to maintain the wheel.
@JonahOnEUC4 күн бұрын
I made a comment on a nosfet video asking about some weird design choices I could see when they took the wheel apart and it promptly got deleted. That alone is enough for me to not consider a Nosfet wheel for now. The top of the battery boxes are not screwed or siliconed on. There are 2 big holes in the plastic cover that goes over the motherboard and no rubber gaskets in sight, so water can just pour into the motherboard. Also a suspension system that relies on wet lubrication will collect all the dust and it will gunk up in the suspension, as you and Matt have already shown. Doesn't matter what kind of viscosity they use for that lubrication. The Apex was on the top of my list for next wheel, but obviously I had to take it off. Hope the next Nosfet wheel will be a little more thought out. (Marty, your video is very laggy and I think you recorded in the usual 25 fps, then rendered the video at 30 fps, thus causing the pulldown effect that ends up with the video showing 3 normal frames, then 2 identical frames, then 3 normal, then 2 identical.. Always render in the same fps that you record in..) Oh, so much hate.......

Not sure there is any EUC I hate, some I would never buy but that's not the same thing. Things look very dry there (is California dry - guess so 🙂), bit of a contrast with Cornwall in the UK this time of year. It rains where I live, you are telling me. Not sure we can compete with Florida though, when it rains there its not kidding - at least when I was there. Tyres.... they can make such a difference, such a pain changing them over though, depending on the machine you are riding. Final thoughts, well nothing on the APEX, but that terrain is so, so, not Cornwall 🙂

@@JonahOnEUC How many of those car accidents are caused by a failure on the wheel tho? Are we thinking people are intentionally being dangerous and veering into traffic? There is a youtuber (forgive me for not knowing names off hand) who recently had his wheel sheer a valve stem and throw him right into traffic on a live stream. I think alot more of the fatal EUC vs car accidents are caused by things like that. Which obviously can never be known for sure after a wheel gets inevitably hit and destroyed by a motorist in said situation. We put alot of trust into these companies and by turn the reviewers to be transparent.

@@BunnyslippersEUC I disagree that the information was good considering Nosfet already predicted the first mechanism being too weak and sent out an upgraded replacement. The video shouldn’t have even been posted under these circumstances, a new video should have been shot with the upgraded suspension since no one other than the 6 or 8 or whatever prototype testers would ever encounter that first obsolete mechanism. Whether or not this was done intentionally for sensationalized clicks/engagement I don’t know, but regardless it was reckless coming from an otherwise respected influencer in the community imho.

One more competitor on the market can only mean better and cheaper wheels for us. But be sure, and here I talk in my name only, that I will NOT buy any wheel from a new company in their first 2 or 3 years, when they are not really established, they have no "infrastructure", etc., even if the wheels are perfect, how about getting support, getting parts, whatever? How about if they sell only few hundreds then disappear from the scene in a year or so? That is why we watch reviewers and people like you, to see how the community gets involved, etc (I still have toys and tools the producer of which is long time gone, but the community still support them, because they are good and useful and I personally support some such tools in my trade, on stack exchange, etc).
