Hi . I have the older version and I think the head up display is a must.. It puts up the cruise control setting up there which is very handy and I don't need to look down very often at all. the missing rear wiper is more of a thing, I would use it if there was 1 , but not had a problem . Loads of room in the back, the hand hold on the roof are too easy to bump your head on, as you get in. The rear camera get very dirty ,very quickly, so wipe it when you plug it in. Then enjoy just wafting along. this thing just rolls along with minimal effort so the bigger battery will be helpful as you just don't need to stop. Hope this helps after leaving with it for 6 months.

Strange that the e-c4 is reliable when everything else from the Stellantis Corporation is struggling with quality and reliability issues. Most of the built-in chargers only last 2-4 years and cost between 12-18.000 € to replace. Especially all the Fiat's and Peugeot/Jeep have been struggling with this. If I were you, I would exchange your 3 year old "catastrophe in waiting" immediately and buy a new one before this happens. I'm 1 year, nigh on 8000 miles deep on a 23MY one registered in 2024. It's been absolutely faultless - range dips in winter obviously but not obtrusively. Winter range is better than my parent's Mokka-e by some significant margin. No rattles, proving better built than my previous Mazda CX-30 that rattled like a garden shed. Enough performance for any moment you might want of it. All the safety systems are there but aren't *too* annoying, probably one of the least intrusive set ups I've driven with. It's fairly basic as EVs go but I bought mine for around £24.5k - a car that should list at nearly £35k. It was genuinely cheaper than leasing on a no deposit, interest free PCP at the time so I treat it like a glorified lease. It's just a nice place to be.

Don't forget that a bit of body roll can give you a bit more grip in corners. Citroën is good at that... (+50 yrs experience)
@Greatdane-qf8kd2 күн бұрын
Never heard that - A little body roll is fine for road cars, but excessive roll can compromise grip and handling. For high-performance driving, minimizing body roll improves control and tire contact with the road.
@MrLekattКүн бұрын
@Greatdane-qf8kd Everything about cars are compromises, especially chassis. A hard setup is preferable on reasonably even surfaces like racing tracks. On the other hand, normal road cars has a completely different task to handle; changeing load/weights distributed randomly, uneven undulating roads, different driving styles and shifting surface conditions, wet, dry, icy and snowy and so on. To optimise road holding properties, a more all round setup must be applied. A softer setup can distribute the weight between the four corners better than a stiffer setup when dealing with uneven surfaces. A track racer could never survive a rally stage, nor will a rally car be especially competitive on a asphalt race track, I'm pretty sure. Those are my thoughs based on my own experiences and my technical interest in motorsports.

Hi Nicola...thanks for this driving report. As a current model eC4 driver for nearly a year, while generally very happy with it (40+ years of bum bliss with their unequalled oleo-pneumatic suspension), the major drawback I experience is it's cold range collapse (ambient around 0 degrees). Normally I get 150 to 170miles but at low temps I am lucky to get 100. I was looking to this version as a possible solution, but I reckon moving up 5kWh on the battery at considerable expense given it is only available in top Max trim the heat pump is an extra £450 across the range AND the used EV market is in free fall, the move would be akin to moving my deckchair about 1.5m towards the stern of the Titanic! What this car needs is a Bigger battery.....and Stillantis Inc. already have a 73kWh one available from the new 3008 Peugeot. Obviously the chief bean counter (now exited , stage left) decided to fatally compromise the facelift for a bit of superficial styling. I'm off to extend my current warranty and take the free pensioners trains on long journeys until the weather warms up a bit!!!

I dont like the thought of a heads up display!

Um, dont think about one then.

I think heads-up displays are great! You hardly have to move your eyes from the road and pertinent information such as navigation instructions are repeated in them.

Nicolas review on a mundane car... _Was comfortable enough!_
@Yanquetino2 күн бұрын
You're such a teaser, Nicola. "New shelf for your phone"…? "Very comfy bum"…? Hahaha! Y'know what? I want your job. Mmm... no, I don't. I want your camera person's job. I would love to return to Barcelona to go zooming around in an EV. Sure wish we could get these European EVs in the Feudal State of Amnesia. Sadly, I think the chance of it ever happening will now disappear entirely, come tomorrow. My one complaint with this e-C4? That it doesn't have one-pedal driving.

I hate SUV/Crossover cars. Totally pointless design for bland people with too much money. Great business of course for exactly those reasons. I feel a lot of cringe watching car influencers shill for this nonense.

They are ideal for people like me who need a higher driving position and extra ground clearance. My neighbours 3 series is like sitting on the floor and horrendous for my spine. No thanks.

Nic when you say USB port you really should say USB-A as there is no port just called USB otherwise USB-C is just a USB port so the car does have USB ports of type A & C, sorry being pedantic I know but I love your reviews as always just that one small thing that drives me mad. 😃
