Is it safe to use in apartment homes with a sprinkler system?

Many sprinkler systems have sensors that work by sending out a beam of light. If the light is not received by the other side of the sensor, the sprinkler may activate. To prevent this, you should deactivate or cover sprinklers with plastic to prevent the disruption.

Which product is safer, Thermo-55 or Thermo-2000 ?

They are both safe when used properly. Thermo-2000 cannot be fogged through the Electro-Gen Fogger - only the Thermo-55 is approved for the Electro-Gen. You can fog Thermo-2000 using the Thermo-Gen VF gas-powered fogger, which produces a particle size that is 20-30 time smaller than what the Electro-Gen can produce.

My apologies - the Electro-Gen 2000C was recently discontinued. I'll make that correction to that site.

You would probably cause damage to surfaces as the Electro-Gen doesn't get hot enough to create a dry fog. The machine is only approved by the manufacturer for hot fogging petroleum solvents through the heating element. (Any damage created by misuse of the machine would not be covered by the manufacturer given it's not recommended for use with a water-based solution.)
