What a great video! This really helped me to understand the science of how a dynamic microphone captures sound! Thank you!!

Thank you for your video, this really helped me understand electromagnetic induction in a microphone!

Formidable video, fantastic.. I Got a question. I built my first ribbon mic. But I got a LOT of skill. I want a extremely sensitive mic. Not for to much spl. more for organ pipe church, choirs, strings. My question is about the ohms of the ribbon. First, I will create the strongest magnetic field circuit you cant imagine, trust me. I expect to make a 3 inch long x 1/4" corrugate ribbon. Is it suitable to do it 200 ohm, 400ohm, 600ohm, shorter longer wider narrower, dual in series? To get the most of the acoustic pressure considering the ohms (resistivity) What should be the best design. larger and short ribbon(considering the magnetic lost) or longer and narrow ribbon (and of course a stronger narrower mag field) . At the moment i already have a 1.8 micon aluminium foil. and of course we can combine in the calculation another ribbon thickness like Royer's mic 2.5micron. regards from Montréal.
