1000w means at least 83A (12V input) from the primary of the transformer, are you sure about your calculations?

@@Electronic_For_You My calculation says for 65A or 750w you need 14×1mm wire which is impossible on a single transformer. I dont want to say you are wrong but if you can, please guide me.
@Electronic_For_You2 ай бұрын
This is a pulse transformer rated for 1KW in some cases this thing can output 3kW and this type of transformer works on high frequency, 30-60khz so we Don't have to use thick wires, i think your calculation is wrong, this is not a 50/60hz mains transformer!

@@Electronic_For_You how 3×1mm wires can tolerate 60A?
@Electronic_For_You2 ай бұрын
Not 3 Its 4×1mm and each wire will handle 15amps so total 60amps

Winding the transformer is the main key,I wound many transformers which none worked properly because leakage inductance or parasitic capacitances make HV spikes and oscillations on the drains of mosfets,I disassembled an inverter to see the transformer winding method, it was copper strip(full length of bobin)2+2,after that entire secondary of litz,and another primary copper strip 2+2 in paralel with the first one,it worked flawlessly in that inverter without snubbers,rectification was sonchronised with GDT with IGBT

Hi, what is the transformer rating and frequency? And how that frequency converted to 50/60Hz? Hope you answer in a little detail. Thank you.

Good day Sir, on a H Bridge of power inverter, i have always mosfet 1 (high side) and mosfet 2 (low side) that burn while 4 and 3 stay ok. Please note that they burn ONLY WHEN I TURN IT OFF, when ON, all is good. When i use only 3 mosfets, none burns (1,2,3 or 2,3,4). I checked on the scope, signals are identical and voltage between gate and source are the same for low and high side. I am running out of mosfets and i would like to fix that inverter, any idea where to look at ? Thanks.

Where you got voltage supply for the H-Bridge? Is it Isolate?

That hammering to the windings does distroy the insulation and risk of arcing it is not a good practice,if you can’t bend the wire square maybe consider using and ETD core
@Electronic_For_YouАй бұрын
You are right, maybe it's better to use copper stripes instead of wires , because wires are harder to bend 👍

Hello, Do you mean you cannot get more than 222V on output? Have you tried to increase the voltage by the Feedback potentiometer? Try adjusting the frequency it may increase voltage also 👍 Let me know what happens next, Good luck with your project brother

If your transformer sounds I think it needs to be in higher frequency, transformer sounds when it's around 1-5khz it should be around 30-40khz try increasing the frequency and always use low current power source during testing like 12V 2A so something doesn't explode while testing,
@Electronic_For_You5 күн бұрын
If everything works, you can use pin 10 (shout down) using Ne555 to generate 200hz to on and off the output, so the transformer will work at 40khz but the output frequency will be 200hz , then it's maybe possible to stun fish maybe, I never tried it myself
