Thank you. Your video is great and helps a lot. I have a well pump house 1.1 miles away (1770.2784 meters) that I am going to try this to monitor the temperature and use a relay to turn on the heaters relay when the outside temperature gets below freezing. Inside temperature, outside temp, and heat relay on/off. I may have to place a repeater at 1/2 distance due to elevation changes.

Dear Sr. To test antennas you should first measure it using a VNA to figure out at least the SWR and Return Loss. It makes a huge diference!

your base antenna is on the ground it must be a 1 - 1.5 meter up from the ground to get a real value ...also you should test LNA SWR

Which is best for making transmitter and receiver for drones??
@ElectroniClinic Жыл бұрын
As per my tests, the flexible pcb antenna on the receiver side and suction cup antenna on the transmitter side will give you a maximum range.

Great video! I enjoyed your line of sight tests with the different antenna. What frequency or antenna combo would be best for maximum penetration? For use when the device in side buildings, cars and such? I am interested in making such a device for radio direction finding, but don't know where to start in terms of which frequency, power output and antenna to use for best results in urban and less than ideal situations. Thanks for the great content!
@ElectroniClinic Жыл бұрын
Use a frequency thats allowed in your country and you can use an combo, when I was performing tests; the suction cup antennas and flexible pcb antennas performed great.
@DV7Dave Жыл бұрын
@@ElectroniClinic I'm assuming a combo antenna would be to cover all polarities? 434Mhz is the LoRa frequency in my country. Its power output for effective transmission that could be an issue.

Hello sir ,can you please tell me which LoRa module should i select (to use in India) I read that we can use 865-867Mhz frequency only but many Indian KZbinrs have used sx1278 433Mhz module. Please help me decide what to do .And which antenna should i use (range required is 1km only)?
@ElectroniClinic Жыл бұрын
Even over here the allowed frequency range is 433Mhz but still I have used other frequency bands too, so I think they won't be much of an issue when performing initial experiments. But if you want to use it on regular basis then get the allowed Lora module. And for the better range you can use suction cup antennas and flexible pcb antennas.

I have a pair of 10dBi magnetic-mount type antennas, and my LoRa module is the RA-02 operating at 433 MHz. However, I am only achieving a range of around 800 meters. In the code, what parameters should I set for maximum range, considering that I have very little data to send?

@@ElectroniClinic, the last video about long-range messaging was about a year ago; I could not build it because I was still in the military and out of the country. I really enjoyed your videos; it was an excellent destresser for me. I am home now and ready to build the messenger. Are there any software/hardware updates since your last video? I'm looking forward to hearing your comments. And thank you
