I liked this - KZbin keeps praising shorts by single artists without realising how expensive they would be to complete. With ~20 people in the credits this is a good 2 minute short from a small team. It also shows how much work is needed to avoid the things that *are* reused being too noticeable - the whole structure of this short is justifying the repetition of the same sequence, but at least we can't immediately tell that it's really only 20s of animation.

Aside from the great technical execution and all the little details and new gags you find on every rewatch, I love how it's been simplified to the most minimal version of the story. The planimetric composition in conjunction with 180 degree rule works so well for this and must have saved lots of time too. The storytelling without spoken dialogue makes it accessible to everyone. Even not showing the dragons just adds to the gag and leaves the challenges of the Freelance obscured from the viewer and the King. So well done and so clever
