You decide. After watching a "Free Energy Case Fan Magnet Motor" video on KZbin, and being skeptical(No wonder why with all the fake videos on KZbin), I decided to try it out myself. Needless to say, the results are not promising using only one magnet to push the motor into motion as the video uploader demonstrated. While there are ideas and devices which do show promise, the one being put to test in this video, is not one of them. If someone is able to prove this device/method works, then you will need to post all relevant information(EXACT magnets used, the positioning of the magnets on the fan blade in mm, which way the magnets face, the model case fan used, and the magnet which was used to push the fan into operation). I will then test your method to make sure that it does work. if proven to work, I will post a link to your video for others to view. (MAKE SURE YOU WATCH THIS VIDEO WITH THE ANNOTATIONS TURNED ON!)

electronicsNmore I have experimented with neo magnets and felt there is potential to create very useful mechanisms. For instance contact free transfer. I have a video posted way back where I constructed a basic contact free energy transfer demonstration. Based off the design of A/C generators and motors I would like to further research ideas for the potential to create a system that could create free energy from strong magnets. I feel there is likely a way to do this. Currently we use magnets to create electricity from an external power source. If further research is done I believe we can utilize magnet fields to do this with no drive source.

This is really a very simple situation. NOTHING like this can EVER work no matter how you arrange things. This is just a fact. Lots of people try this sort of thing but it never works, it can't. Any video showing something like this working is a fake. KZbin needs more people like yourself who tell the truth. You're doing a good job. Well done and thank you.

I'm nearing the completion of my Electrical Engineering degree, and it's frustrating to me when I come across people who think I'm part of the anti-free energy conspiracy. Thanks for putting out these videos, it's nice to see someone who has the patience to respectfully approach the situation and put together these devices to show how they (don't) work.

Thanks For Watching. I'm very open minded to ideas/new things, but some things just don't work. Lets be realistic, if this really worked, the person would be patenting the idea, and making millions. People are way too trusting of many KZbin videos. If this does work, then I expect someone to come forward with all the design specifics so it can easily be duplicated by others. Good luck with that.

@Rahat Ibn Nabi Based on the testing I have done, which is more extensive than what is shown in this video, I can say you WILL NOT get a single magnet to push a case fan into smooth spinning operation. Not going to happen. If you doubt it, then try it! Very simple to prove to yourself.

Pablo Garcia More like how gullible. Find me one computer case fan that you can buy online that spins freely using one magnet as shown in this video, or multiple magnets(NO WIND), and produces endless power. LOL. Please do so and post the link here for all the viewers to see. Clearly people would be duplicating this device like crazy and making lots of money selling them online. Show us. I would like to buy one. The Chinese would have already duplicated and mass produced this device for sale.

Pablo Garcia Bloggers have credibility?? That's a new one. Pablo, yes, magnets repel when their like poles face one another. But they repel in BOTH directions. The next magnet on the circle can't get into proper position because it gets pushed backwards. The fan is being forced to turn in two directions at the same time. The net result is it doesn't move at all. Perhaps you should do what thousands before you have done. Try it yourself.

***** The cogging effect is very hard to overcome. Is it possible? Anything is possible, but highly unlikely as the uploader showed. Remember, the individual stated that all he did was glue magnets to each fan blade then use another magnet to push it into smooth operation. Based on that, it is not going to happen.
@power-max
@power-max 10 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I do not believe this type of free energy device will ever work; not even with monopoles. The problem is that for every south pole this is an opposite and equal north pole, or the south pole has to be brought closer to the stationary magnet before it can repel away. Cogging should not be a big deal with enough rotational inertia. If you draw out the field lines for all the magnets, you will see a few that will counteract the desired force. Every design I have found thus far has that problem.

what if u used the same idea but put a horizontal axis on a vertical wheel with multiple magnets facing the same way, place the wheel over the fan, and set it spinning, just an educated guess as to what would overcome the "cogging" effect... both the fan and the wheel could potentially spin indefinately... OR use monopole magnets on the fan blades so the opposite magnetic fields are not affected, i dont have the cash right now for the experiment but i will definately try it out... also is it possible even for this fan to produce electricity instead of acting as a load... you might try setting it spinning with a dremel tool with a load attatched to the wires from the fan, i really appreciate what you are doing here :)

Thank you for such a interesting and mature video in all aspects! It was truly pleasent to watch and I liked how you very profesionally explained the details and had so many things subbed into those red boxes. =) It felt like watching a very professional document of a sort, and I like that. :) Also I saw a (not sure if the) scam video of this fan first and I was genuinely surprized how easily I believed what I saw there and I'm 28 years old (not trying to be better being older than say a 15 years old but to state that as a young adult I ought to question more what I've been told). THANK YOU! The cogging explains so much. But one hypothetical question... what if you reduced the amount of cogging as much as possible with multiple fans all connected to a single shaft? Say 5 fans all offset from each other by 20° to reduce the size of the cogging space to as little as possible. Then using 5 reversed magnets for each fan so there is not enough space for the cogging to have a major effect. So to sum up my question... Would reducing the cogging as much as possible make the fans spin?

you need MONO pole magnets on the fan, or you need a cct to swap feilds at the right time, or something that "spins a interference feild at the right time... thats the tricky part. try this and see what i mean, .. spin your interference magnet with your hand but on an axis near or in the "sweet spot" you have to find it, but not hard.. you will get a few actual spins to prove concept..... but not a working motor .. yet.

the outer magnets would need to spin to continuously attract the magnets attached to the fan blades, but they would only spin until friction slows them to stopping, it's a very tricky near impossible task to make the motor work without applying power to the system, which would make it pointless. but it is still worth exploring different options.

You need to add a soda straw to your setup. Blow through the straw, aimed at the fan, as you bring the magnet close. It will spin! :) (BTW: It spins best if the outer magnet isn't a magnet at all...)

Four years later and it still does not work. But one thing I did notice in one of the videos was that the electronic guts of the fan had been removed. The internal cogging of one of these fans is also great so overcoming it is next to impossible. Now putting two of the fans together such that the internal cogging was canceled out by each other you might get one to spin with external magnets.

I can Conclude that it is fake. I cannot help but notice, how the fan is kind of jiggling when it spins. Its not spinning very fluently/balance. What I can say though is that the fan is indeed genuinely spinning using the magnets stuck to the fan blade reacting to the magnet he is holding. But why does the fan jiggle? I believe that he dismantled the fan and took out what was inside of the middle of it (the PCB, wiring, etc. This then will allow the fan to spin easily using the magnets because of less friction.) And then : With the amount of space he created after cleaning out what was inside the middle of the fan (that large circular in the middle of the fan that usually houses the electronics that causes the fan to spin if connected to power). The amount of space is then FILLED with "circular Batteries", enough batteries to power the LED Bulb he is using. The Circular Batteries are basically housed inside the middle of the fan and those batteries are connected to the red and black wires. So that when he connects the bulb to the wires it lights up. Basically even if he doesnt do that magnet spinning fan Gimmick, by Simply connecting the black and red wires to the bulb it will still light up even without having to spin the fans. Because the red and black wire is actually hook up to the circular battery housed inside the middle of the fan. In the video 1> He saids if he stops spinning the fan using magnets, the bulb don't light up... Why? Thats because he also pulls out the Black Wire as soon as he stops spinning the Fan using the Magnet. ^But actually even if he doesn't make the fan spin using the magnet, the bulb will stay light up because it is actually powered by circular batteries found in the middle of the fan. Those batteries are then connected to the red and black wire he is using which are originally connected to the original fan electronics. 2> He tested the Bulb and it lit up using a Double AA battery. Okay thats legit. But He didn't test the fan if it works if he plugs it on a PC Power supply. ^Thats because he gutted out the middle electronics of the fan and replaced the electronics with circular batteries. so even if he connected the fan into a Power Supply Molex power connector, it Won't spin.

electronicsNmore ah ye my bad, wanted to make sure we were on the same page and that you are referring to that particular video. But I am pretty sure thats how he did it. Its just the fact that he tested the bulb works with a power source i.e. the battery but he didn't test if the fans work if connected to a Power supply. then when he showed how the bulb starts when he spins the fans and it stops when he doesn't let the fan spins. it wasn't about the fan spinning that makes the bulb light up at all. But it was because of him pulling out the black wire supplying the power. I am pretty sure even if he keeps the fan not spinning, the bulb will still light up just by connecting the black and red wire to the bulb. I have seen quite alot of 120mm PC case fan "free energy" videos, and I can see most of them utilizes the same gimmick using low power LED bulb and circular batteries placed in the middle of the fan/hub.

Even if this does work (not saying it doesn't) it is not perpetual motion for 2 reasons 1. magnets do lose their magnetic ability 2. It is technically not perpetual motion because perpetual motion is motion not affected by force of any kind Perpetual motion is impossible no matter how you look at it if you find soothing that is perpetual than pls let me know because it is not possible. they say I you throw a ball in space it goes for ever so if you spin something in space it would go forever. FALSE because it would eventually stop because of dark matter even dark matter has friction it may take a million or so years but it will eventually stop true perpetual motion means an action that is repetitive over and over again for ever as long as no outside force acts upon it the closest thing to perpetual motion we have is an electrical circuit so think about it even the universe will lose its energy may be way past any persons lifetime that will ever read this comment but it will end it is not something I hate to think about but it will happen.

@mikie2501

The problem doesn't have a damned thing to do with what size magnets go on the blades or the pushing magnet, blah blah blah, as long as you can get a big external magnet to push the blade magnets then that part is fine. THE PROBLEM is the fan that is being used! Almost all modern cheap fan motors like that aren't capable of making electricity. You have to find an older model fan THAT HAS MAGNETS INSIDE of the case that is part of the original design. There is NOTHING fancy or magical here, the principal is the same as a wind generator. Go look at how a wind generator is made and you will see both wire coils and magnets, the wind turns the blades passing the magnets and coils over each other to make electricity. The ONLY thing different here, as long as you have a fan with magnets and there isn't any blocking diodes or crap like that inside that needs removed, is that you are using the glued on magnets and a big external magnet to REPLACE THE WIND to spin the fan. If you can't hold the little fan up to a big fan and have the little one making electricity (checked with a volt meter) then putting magnets on the blades isn't going to do a damned thing!! Soooo... You need a fan with internal magnets and it can't have circuitry that is blocking current flow from your test meter. Pretty damned simple.
@electronicsNmore
@electronicsNmore 9 жыл бұрын
What does your comment have to do with the video being a scam? Which it is? Your correct that some case fans can produce a voltage when placed in the the wind to allow the blades to spin, but many others do not as a result of the internal circuitry. The purpose of this video was to show that you will not have a free spinning case fan using only magnets. If you doubt this, then I suggest you purchase a case fan and magnets. I assure you that you will be HIGHLY disappointed with the results. Thanks For Watching.

The guy who made the free energy video you mention is using a light bulb from a magic store. It is the same type light bulb used by Uncle Fester in the Adams family TV show/movies. It has batteries in the base, and the base is plastic and fake looking. (It's made to stick in your mouth after all.) The on switch is on the base, where he touches the wire. His fan is most likely moving due to a blast of air directed at the fan.

I noticed that in the faker's video the claimant always keeps the stationary magnet part way out of the view of the camera. The magnet also appears to have a small hole drilled in it. There is probably an air pump located outside the camera's view and a hose going to the unseen side of the stationary magnet (which may not be a magnet at all). This blows a jet of air toward the fan causing it to spin. The motor inside the fan then acts like a generator to light the bulb. The outside power source is whatever is running the air pump.

I gave you a thumbs up!. Excellent I did the same experiment I ran into the same problem as you (cogging). I did find away to make it spin a little bit. After many hours of setting the magnets on the fan blade's. Magnets need to be set at the farthest end of the fan blade ( furthest from the center of fan. Kind of tricky since its hard to get my magnets to stick properly at such a spot. Now the magnets are as far apart as can be on the blades. Using a straight down ward motion on to the fan (of course this is cheating but I was desperate and needed something for my time spent) with two magnets on each side of the fan both hands at different times (moving downward and pulling away to avoid cogging) I could get it to spin but my timing was never perfect and so cogging soon was taking its effect. If magnets could be turned on and off with an electrical pulse I'm sure I could make it work. Thanks so much for your video.

Quick question: What if you took a magnet that has a stronger polarity on one side and not as much on the other, and used it instead of the small neodymium magnets on the fan blade? I mean the magnets that have a stronger magnetic field by they have a tighter magnetic field. If it works like I think it does, it might fix cogging.

Hey , just a thought of mine. To help shed some light on the magnetic fields that seemed to show implausible free power fan motors. Maybe if you take a magnet from a computer hard drive and apply it to the fan blades you can get it to work. They have only one magnetic field on one side . The other side has some sort of magnetic block . I guess to keep the field from magnetism from destroying the computer.
