Alex from NorthridgeFix has just mentioned you in his video today on the 4090 video card connector replacement. He did not reveal your name or channel but he was not happy because your editing the video did not show the real time needed for desoldering the 4090 connector. We left comments saying that you said it had taken you 30 min just to clean the holes. He obviously did not see the whole video and he does not know that you have been editing your videos for some time. Another thing he pointed out was the soldering tip size you used for desoldering the holes. I respect both of you. Alex is proud of his low melt solder technique for desoldering connectors and of his using newly discovered solder sucker with a great suction power for desoldering holes.

@@seckinseckin3919 Nothing special. He was trying 9-10 solder suckers available on the market and found that one of them has suction power higher than all the others tried. Sorry for using inappropriate words to describe an ordinary solder sucker.

@@seckinseckin3919 It is not the copper wire solder wick but a device which is based on energy stored in a spring and when you release that energy it moves round plate up a cylinder creating vacuum which sucks the air and melted solder through a narrow teflon(ptfe) tip.

You make the hinge repairs look very easy because you can use hot glue without getting it everywhere. You said you can't make a difference but you do. Many of your viewers, I imagine a lot of them are younger, would probably not have ventured into repairing electronics if it weren't for you. This legacy will last for decades. I'll respectfully disagree with you about Gates. He's an evil opportunist who stifled many innovative companies through buying them or putting them out of business, simply to remove a competitor. You should watch the video of him being interviewed by US officials, it's bizarre.

I do at least one of these a week. Sometimes two. The worst laptops are the ones that lift the back off of the table for cooling. I use epoxy and c clamps, and it works like a charm.

I always wanted to know, who tightened the hinges in the first place? When you buy a new laptop, hinges are ok, but this and many jobs look like someone tightened the hinges and caused damage

My question exactly. I have tried using hot glue, didn't work for me I had to result to use Aradite. My conclusion was the Hot glue product is not as quality as that of Sorin.

I'd rather have a couple of medium pizzas than an empty plate! 🍕🍕🍕Everything hinges on that 🤣Re Linux, it is there in the background, a lot of businesses use Linux, as do cloud services, developers use Linux as their base O/S to run JSON and PYTHON to develop their apps on and also a lot network devices such as switches, routers and firewall have their OS based on Linux. I suppose it isn't a mainstream users/gamers OS but I think it will always be there as an alternative in that market too.
