Really clever way of finding the short. Thanks. And thanks for the info about "phone board" softwaree. One question though: I know 4.3v is roughly the full charge voltage of battery, and supply that voltage to the battery connectors are fine. However, you apply that same 4.3 voltage to many sub circuits after the "semi-conductor". How are you sure that the sub circuits is not designed to run by 1.8v or 3.3v? thanks

A couple of your videos you remove the damaged cap but don't replace you just reassemble? What was the Cap for?
@renaulth20095 жыл бұрын
Capacitors are generally used as smoothing or decoupling capacitors, they are not "in-line", and won't break the electrical connection. Look at a few schematics involving IC's, you'll typically see capacitors connected to the positive input voltage pin, but then going to ground.

I recently fixed an iPhone 7 with water damage. I changed 1 capacitor at the very top of the main board. Next to some of that glue stuff then changed charger port works fine £25 for broken phone and £3.50 for new charger port. Anyone can do this stuff you just have to be patient and investigate what your actual problem is. A rushed job is a bad job.
